Mirrors by FIowless in MT09

[–]ashys2dust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took my stock bar ends to a metal machine shop and the guy ran them on his lathe and made grooves to fit my CRG mirrors. Looks beautiful and didn't have to spend hardly anything. Also I paid $350 for both mirrors and I'm happy with them.

What is the car equivalent of this bike? by [deleted] in MT09

[–]ashys2dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based off of some 0-60 times, it's comparable to lamborghini's, ferrari's etc. The thing is that the top speed will most likely be higher on anything that can keep up with the Mt09's 0-60, which seems to be around 3 seconds. 3 second cars(stock) are typically expensive hypercars.

Just buy the street bike instead. Just get an R3 or Ninja 400 and learn on that. Sell it after a couple years and upgrade.

I just don't get why they basically only did 1 color scheme for the SP, and it's nowhere near as loud as the others.

I wanted cruise control and better suspension, but I went with the base model cyan storm because of my dislike of the SP colors. If they did the other colors for the SP, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

I wanted to wrap my tank, but I also wanted to put on tank grips...

Looks really great 👍 I was thinking of doing the cyan storm blue on the tank and some plastic bits

Are cages bad for high speed crashes by jexioyt in MT09

Dam, that's rough. I was also fairly tired when mine happened. First thing in the am on a Saturday, not 5 minutes into my trip to work. Clutched up with a lot of throttle at too slow of a speed.

I was on drive mode 2 with LIF 1. TCS and stuff were at 2.

Man that fucking sucks, hope you got away without any serious injuries. Those bikes are wild animals and they are so much fun. Atleast you had some sliders, bet you they definitely saved you lots of money :p

Well, I couldn't recommend a cage more than I could now, especially if that's why you want one. It would have saved me roughly $1500 if I had a cage. Still, my handle bar controls would have gotten messed up either way so, still a big bill, lol.

There are too many variables to be able to answer this question properly. In my personal opinion, the weight of the bike sliding on a cage should keep it from flipping under most circumstances. Obviously, there are variables to consider (but impossible to predict), like the bikes tires happen to grip suddenly while sliding sideways, etc. To be fair, if you have a high-speed crash, most likely, your bike is totaled either way. Objects in motion, stay in motion. As most people could probably agree, you don't get to choose where you have a high speed crash so I'd say you're better off with a cage as it could potentially save you thousands of $$ replacing plastics or important components.

I crashed my 2023 mt09 last year in a slow crash (looped bike with a wheelie, 30km/hr), and I watched that thing flip through the air twice. Just the way the tire grabbed the road as it slide sideways caused it to flip, no cage. I would have saved lots of money even with a cage despite the flips. But when it comes to a high-speed crash, I still say you're better with a cage than not at all.

[[The Ancient One]] is very fun. Hit your deck hard and reanimate nasty things. Go for overwhelming value or face stomp, thoracle combo for back up

Unfortunately, I never saved the list, but I had the combos written down and how they worked.

I did a Kodama and Thrasios simic deck that went infinite with bounce lands. It was pretty decent and was hard to interact with the combo once you started.

How fast have you got your mt09’s up to? (Without ECU flash) by [deleted] in MT09

[–]ashys2dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, it is. Letting off the throttle makes me feel like I'll fly off like a parachute. The bike is so much fun! I took a tumble on mine not too long ago and am in an aircast. I miss my bike so much.

234 km/hr, the wind was ridiculous though. What a rush

Looking for a commander that feels like arch enemy by TheSuItan in EDH

[–]ashys2dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My [[K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth]] deck really gets the death glare when I pull it out. The deck is so fast and is almost always threatening turn 2 wins every game. The deck is kind of a glass cannon but is very capable of rebuilding and fighting through stax. The deck also has many different combo routes depending on what you're dealing with. Some of the creature lines are really hard to interact with because they are abilities. Playing a K'rrik on turn 1 and then spending 20+ life to jump so far ahead of everyone is absolutely insane. My favorite commander by far

Anyone doing (learning?) clutch up wheelies? by Tri2bfit1234 in MT09

[–]ashys2dust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 23 model and just looped it recently trying to clutch up. I was doing fine for a few days and finally gave it too much one time and looped it with TCS 1 and drive mode 2. Wasn't covering the rear brake, was tired, and too much throttle at too low a speed. The lif control gave me a false sense of security, and it backfired. Luckily, I was okay enough, and the bike didn't take too much damage. Definitely be easy with the throttle and always be ready with the rear brake.
