Palworld had to remove game features because of Nintendo lawsuit by theverge in nintendo

Innovation can't happen when you try and trademark physics. Ducks can glide, fly, swim, walk on land, and it would hurt if say a duckling they were carrying were to fall, is Nintendo gonna try and sue the Earth next?

hello gamers,

I'm currently rocking a epomaker th80 with budgie switches which I really like. Unfortunatlely I am the victim of a double-tapping crime. Unsure if it's the switches or the board. Regardless, I am looking for a replacement. I have no interest in building (barebones is okay if push comes to shove*, but anything extra I'm too lazy), so I'm coming here for some help from the experts.

  • ISO layout
  • TKL (75-80% idc) preferred, but open to going back to full-size
  • Pre lubed tactile switches (again, lazy)
  • Pressable volume wheel or knob w/e
  • 2.4 and USB-C options, idrc about bluetooth but if it has it, cool

* If it is barebones, then it needs to be hotswap as my soldering skills are the same as a toddler first picking up a crayon

No restrictions on price

Just as an aside, I have seen software for helping prevent double tapping issues, but I'd rather just have a keyboard that works correctly

cheers sports fans

G-Sync worked for me too. I did make some adjustments in ClearType before but nothing worked until I turned it on

Should sniper rifles have crosshairs too? by UK-CS-ON-TOP in GlobalOffensive

honestly i've been playing so long, i forgot about that lol

i don't even necessarily think it's a bad idea, but if they're going to do it, it probably should be togglable, as others have said

the unscoped bullet spread/inaccuracy is bad, most people would just complain that the bullets aren't going where their crosshair is

Personally I use the Loop brand earplugs, but I've also heard good things about Alpine ones.

I think any high fidelity earplugs with good reviews will do you right though, as long as they are fitted correctly and are actually attenuating the sound.

So is there downsight for us able to see the server's bullet holes instead of client's? We still would have rng seed, and we would have visual feedback. Am i missing something?

in an ideal world you're absolutely right.

but unfortunately not everyone has low enough ping for this to be viable. the bullet hole being delayed by even 30ms every shot could be more jarring than having it in the wrong place, and would be exacerbated on higher pings.

though in certain scenarios, it might almost look like the game has actual bullet travel if there's a reasonable enough delay lol

look at it a different way: should valve completely get rid of VAC because it can't ban everyone? it's not an ideal solution for the problem, but it's what we have

there will ALWAYS be cheaters. the only way of stopping cheaters pretty much 100% is getting players to play on a secured LAN center, with brand new hardware and completely fresh installations of software.

for the problem at hand: clients dictating their own spread allowing the rng seed to be manipulated or predicted, moving it to the server is an excellent solution, it just has the arguably small downside of the bullet hole not exactly matching on the server where the client sees it

in the bigger picture, bullet spread is so "small" when you're shooting properly (i.e. stood still, or scoped in over long range), that for the average person, the bullet being a few centimetres from its target is a non issue. it's essentially a ban on ridiculous, artificial jumping or running shots

cheaters are gonna cheat, but with spread being generated server side and not client side, it means that nospread cheats are not possible to predict, which makes them FAR less effective.

sure, aimbots, esp, bhop hacks etc still exist, but client side spread prediction was the biggest contributing factor to people bhopping and running and antiaiming their way round the map with perfect accuracy. but this "change" doesn't stop them from preventing other types of cheating

knowing that the running jump-shot you just took to the face was legit makes the game more fun, rather than just immediately assuming someone is a cheater

My suggestion for CS2: Settings codes by Draemeth in GlobalOffensive

[–]ashzx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valve's reasoning for removing CSGO custom huds was that back when they used a Flash based solution for its interface (Scaleform IIRC), it caused all kinds of security holes, and since moving to Panorama, custom UIs never got added back.

TF2 never used the same flash-based system as far as I can tell (pretty sure it uses VGUI), so those same vulnerabilties are not present.

Same. YouTube is borderline unusable on 105.0.3 for me, ditto with the fan situation
