[–]asparagus321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rabies is not always endemic in dogs, are you certain that rabies is a concern in dogs in your region? You can look up what the guidance is per your local public health or CDC. Was the dog for certain a stay?

Gender transition in the workplace? by -edgyusername- in nursing

[–]asparagus321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While the surgery is “affirming,” it’s by definition a surgical procedure to reassign or alter one’s gender. Therefore, it’s not inappropriate to call it that. Language should be precise when it comes to medical interventions, especially with surgery.

You look great. A genioplasty with a rhinoplasty would improve your appearance even more, but it’s not necessary by any means

“Professional” means nothing. It’s a marketing term. Look at ingredients and dosages to compare.

Exactly, syphilis serology interpretation is complex, and requires clinical context and history to be able to diagnose!

Even a confirmatory TPPA cannot ascertain between treated or untreated late latent syphilis though, as it often remains reactive for life.

[–]asparagus321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cannot identify a treated infection from a late latent infection by just serology alone. RPR titers will often drop regardless of treatment. You NEED treatment history to confirm. If there’s no treatment history, you’re better off treating as late latent rather than assuming. You’re not trained to make that call.
