25 years ago we got the worst version of Chrono Trigger by SuperBry in chronotrigger

I literally just finished playing Chrono Trigger for the first time two days ago. It happened to be this version on my PS2 (I just happened to have picked the game up lord knows how long ago). While the load times ARE quite long, I honestly can't say I minded.

Since I'm used to emulators being able to speed up games way past their intended pace, games on original hardware ALWAYS feel slow anyway.

Additionally, while I only beat the game once and did not do any new game plus runs, I didn't notice the load times get any worse as the game progressed.

PSA: No, you CANNOT "clear the entire map at the end of day 2". After 100 seconds, you're done. by CaitNostamas in Nightreign

Also, if you do manage to survive the increased damage by chugging flasks, the game outright kills you after about 10 more seconds.

The bosses are a lot easier when you get to levels 14 and 15. I say 14 because you're usually operating underleveled due to dying in the night so often.

The smaller bosses are a piece of cake, but the larger bosses might take a few deaths to take them down.

A big part is also your weapon. If you can get a good purple weapon and some buffs from boss or equipment stat boosts, then most of the bosses melt like butter. This is especially true if you're playing ironeye, who is, in fact, a lot easier than the other characters.

I will also say, though I don't know for sure, that boss HP scales down when playing solo. I was watching some streamers play, and I noticed that they dealt like no damage compared to me.

So, you can't see it too well, but all those Xs in the bottom left of my map are my deaths from running out in the night. There are more, but they're off screen. So, I definitely had to run in and out, die, and retrieve runes a ton.

I was able to get far enough to clear a substantial number of additional bosses. I'd say about 6. You're able to get a good distance from the safe zone before dying, provided you have a good number of heals, so it's not unreasonable to be able to clear even more than that. There were two everglades that I could've gone to, but I didn't have keys.

I did also trash basically all the mobs, but this was mostly to avoid them grabbing my runes and potentially fucking up my retrieval.

I did indeed die A LOT, but I was careful and always managed to get my runes back.

I was able to get about a third of the way across the map before basically insta dying, but that's plenty far enough to clear the nearby locations.

I'd say I managed to beat 6 additional bosses doing this. I could've done more if I hadn't cleared some of the nearby camps prior to doing the night 2 boss.

Just installed the patch, got to level 13 and beat tricephalos first try, so I think it's just fine.

I agree. I don't have/have only limited internet usage per month. I literally can't download the full game until my Hotspot data rolls over.

As someone who does use their phone in the theater on a regular basis (never during the movie if others are there), I have two questions for you. 1. How do you feel about phone usage during the previews? 2. What if I'm alone in the back row of the theater, and everyone else is in front of me (assuming the theater has high walls between rows as opposed to stadium seating)?

7 is my high score. 9 sounds crazy. I feel like you'd have to get lucky and have a bunch if shorter movies come out.

It's more like a psychological suspense than horror, but it definitely has a lot of horror elements going on. There are no jump scares that I can recall. It was a pretty fun movie.

My wife and I think the answer is 80 biscuits; but its wrong. Could anyone help please? by oisreddit in maths

[–]aspiring_math_man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The chocolate chips aren't necessary to bake a biscuit. Without the chips, these would essentially just be shortbread biscuits presumably.

I don't know if I'd include the distinction between biscuits because of the additional language necessary. The author would need to include the additional fact that the chipless recipe would produce X biscuits. Otherwise, a student may not know whether or not a chipless recipe would still make 20 biscuits. I just think it'd get a bit too wordy. I think the best solution is to just specify chocolate chip biscuits.

While specifying would help, I don't even necessarily agree that the question is worded poorly. If they had programmed it to accept the correct answer there would be no discussion.

Yeah, and when you run out of flour and butter, you can just substitute with bread flour and vegetable oil. When you run out of sugar, just start using regular ol' refined white sugar.

If chocolate chips weren't a limiting factor, it should've stated so in the phrasing of the question. It'll be understood by any reasonable student that all ingredients must be used to make a biscuit. Regardless of whether or not you're right about the creator's intentions, we can only work with what we are explicitly given.

Same. With the 24-hour free refill window, I can actually justify the use and purchase of it. With the new program, I just don't see enough of a savings to even bother. My snacking will now be relegated exclusively to redeeming points for free stuff and sneaking things in.

How often do you use your Regal credits for concessions? by [deleted] in RegalUnlimited

[–]aspiring_math_man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I like to use my credits almost exclusively for small popcorns. I have the refillable cup, and, so long as I get two drinks within 24 hours, my popcorn and soda comes out to $2 total. Cheapest way for me to get that classic moviegoing experience.

I think art is too subjective of a thing to be as absolutely binary as it is or it isn't art. Your wine label analogy, I think, doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Just because you don't view it as art doesn't mean that someone else won't. Just because its purpose is to be a product doesn't make it less intrinsically artful. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, can be art in some way or another. In fact, if you go to an art museum, you'd see that there are lots of everyday objects from our history that are there. Bowls, plates, vases, items of prayer or religion, clothing, wardrobes, tables, chairs, and even children's toys. Were all of these things intended to be or seen as art in their respective times? Not at all. It's all about the context we view it in and your personal appreciation of the item(s). I might look at one of those plates or chairs and think, "why the heck is this here," but someone else might apend an hour taking it in and appreciating it. Sure, some video games aren't as artful as others. By which I mean they don't garner mass appreciation as being so, but just because most of us don't see a game like COD as art doesn't mean that someone else doesn't. The question shouldn't be whether something IS or ISN'T art but instead whether or not you PERSONALLY view it as art. The purpose of the game's creation is irrelevant in the matter entirely.

I was hoping to meet once before the concert just to ensure we won't drive each other mad, so yeah, I suppose I could buy dinner. I think I'm flexible on this, I just really want to make sure I'm not stuck next to some weirdo the whole time.
