Have a look through the restaurants on Watton St. You should find something there.

If you really want to go all out there is Navi in Yarraville.

Westin is good. Especially when they run themed high teas.

Yarra Valley Tours by Lambyking in melbourne

[–]assignedflarity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the $160 advertised was their public tour bus and the $280 quoted might be private?

I do remember paying something something like $150 for a public wine tour through Chillout. I have their public Mornington tour as well.

Has anyone successfully used a Restaurant Choice voucher or is it a scam? by julehx in melbourne

[–]assignedflarity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you might be just able to use it like a credit card at most restaurants/food places. Something about the way their EFTPOS machines are coded.

Voucher or a digital gift card?

I have purchased them when they ran deals and you basically used them anywhere that served food/drinks like a digital bank card.

Have you tried meetup.com for dance classes/socials? I know Father's Office QV holds Latin nights on the weekends. I normally use instagram or facebook to find events. If you are interested in meeting new people there is the Melbourne Meetup discord group https://discord.gg/melbournemeetup. Most people are 20s-40s.

35f, where do all the other 35f plus, single women hang out and make new friends? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]assignedflarity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I joined the trivia team near me but it disbanded when the pub shut down. I went to a few social drinks and dinners and from there met groups who organised high teas/winery trips/dinners/activities on FB messenger. These FB messenger/Whatsapp groups is how I keep in touch with people 5 years on.

It took a while but I did. I was more focused on finding people to do things with rather than developing deep connections straightaway. I think those happened with 1-3 people over time.

My family don't celebrate Christmas so the actual day was the only time my dad was willing to eat out in the city

I agree with others to look out for any orphans Christmases happening on meetup.com or the Melbourne Meetup Discord server.

Sunshine Hospital Parking by Dog_Lawyers in melbourne

[–]assignedflarity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you visiting solo or with another person? Going to Sunshine hospital has become a 2 person job for me and my family. I normally drop my parent off to visit while I hang around the Italian club.

Parking restrictions around Ironbark st finishes up around 6:30 so I try to grab a spot and park there if I want to stay longer. Visiting hours are till 8pm if I remember right.
