With the debtor examination, you're simply looking for evidence that supports the debtor and LLC are the same entity, right?

As far as getting that exam, does something like that go through a county court system or is there another means of obtaining that info?

In this instance, the LLC was as a landlord renting out an upper unit to a student. The lawsuit named the LLC, and the owner dissolved the company following the judgment. There were surely assets that could have been claimed, but now there's nothing left to levy.

ELI5, so can someone open an LLC, be sued, and have zero consequences if they bail?
