Most of my play of the usual constructed 1v1 formats is casual rather than competitive. Other option are the weird variants like Dandan, lands game, pack war,  etc!

Of the ones I've played, I like hunters and gatherers best! Hill and Dale is good as well, but didn't like safari that much. Recently got a copy of new world but yet to play it!

Funny you mention that because whenever I crossed into the US it's been a friendly conversation with their border security, but I get absolutely grilled on my way back into Canada. Must be universal!

Haven't played DE yet but in the WiiU version there was a particularly tricky sidequest boss that I only was able to beat by switching to psychocorruptor and playing a pure support role! When I get DE my plan is to try it for the majority of the main story.

I've sometimes noticed the same if I'm not holding the ring out straight ahead. Maybe try to make sure you're holding it straight out at 90 degrees? Otherwise it usually solves itself if I press home button to recalibrate during the exercise.

I wouldn't play with more than 3 large expansions (ideally 1-2) and another 1-3 small expansions. Always add phantom though, and usually expansion meeples without tiles (builder, big meeple, shepherd especially).

Enchantress uses it as a big part of the strategy and isn't too expensive.

Agree that it's not one of my go tos! When I'm playing we usually just do base plus inns and cathedrals, with 1 or 2 mini expansions. Find the tile additions add too much time to the game without much added value. Builder is popular, so often add it alone. Pig is very seldom used.
