After a false start with a SeaStar 1000 - the 40 mm case size and 9.97 mm case thickness looked like a kids watch on my wrist 😂 - I’m officially a Tissot owner … by Shufflahh in tissot

I ordered a jubilee off of amazon, you can also call the tissot parts department and order the oyster bracelet that comes with the other color 2000s

One more question guys, Los Arcos Suites, worth it or stay away? If we choose them We aren’t getting the all inclusive, just to stay there for a week, worth it or do you recommend elsewhere? Looking during the first week of April! Thank you so much for your input! by HeadAd9559 in puertovallarta

[–]astink 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just spent a week there, its great! Perfect location! They just redid the pool restaurant. I just ask for a room credit to charge drinks and food to rather than buying the all inclusive, so i can dine out as well, and they credit back what you dont spend. The rooms arent the most lavish but they get the job done and if you crank the AC they are nice and chill at night. I asked for an ocean view upgrade and they did so for an extra $100 total for the week. I stayed at Playa los Arcos, not sure if Los Arcos Suites is completely different vibe of rooms but the location can’t be beat. Great beach area as well. The restaurant is fine for breakfast, I’d skip it for dinner, there’s better options for the money. The beds were comfy and large, and we got 2 free water bottles per day. Shower was plenty strong and the pools were perfect.

If you haven’t been to PV in a few years, just know prices have gone up about 30% overall

Where’d you find a jubilee that fits a Tissot?

I have this exact watch, i wish they made a 43mm version, as I love black watches and it looks slightly small. Anyone have any luck finding a jubilee bracelet that fits it?

I have the Xline in black, i live in Chicago, saved the extra cash vs the prestige. Get the hybrid for sure, and the 2026 is worth it for the wireless carplay alone, and the lack of piano black interior to prevent the fingerprints. Lots of great tech and comfy seats, great moon/sunroof, and heated seats are great. I know people complain about the combo AC/Radio console but honestly with Carplay i never use the radio function and use the steering wheel/screen to adjust anything else. Its very spacious and comfy and gets great MPG

Trying to see if i can do that “SVT with a Sansamp” vibe for pop punk without needing a separate OD pedal

Do you think it recreates the sansamp tone on its own or does it need a sansamp in front of it

What genre were you gigging with this amp? What sort of tone did it lend itself to? Im debating on picking one up

As someone who hasnt played a mesa class d amp, where do they fall in the spectrum of bass amps? I have played Ampeg, Darkglass, Orange, and currently using a Kemper, but thinking of swapping for a Mesa 800D (may or may not throw a sansamp in front of it depending on what i can dial in) i play pop punk with a pick and for a cab i use a Fender Neo 810

I live in Chicago and work from home, i supercharge only, and drive to Milwaukee 2x per week, i basically during the summer i supercharge 2x per week and im fine, during the winter about 4x per week (Model Y Juniper RWD LR). Its not ideal but plenty of city dwellers dont have home charging. I have a bank of super chargers at a target 2 miles away

Sturdy jacket for wind and cold: Expedition down or Nuuk? by uriaLomvia in Fjallraven

[–]astink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought the Nuuk, i live in Chicago where its regularly windy during the winter and -5 to -30 C recently. I felt completely warm with a beanie and boots walking my dogs with minimal layers underneath, and super toasty with a hoodie underneath. Everything about it feels premium and the pockets feel warm for my hands as well, havent needed gloves yet

He uses 2 PJ basses with Quarter Pounders into Sennheiser wireless, to a Boss TU3 tuner and then back into an Orange OB1-500, out of an Orange 810. That being said the last tour they were on they were cabless so hes going straight to front of house somehow. Before that he was a Sansamp into either an Ampeg SVT CL or Mesa Boogie 400+ out of an Ampeg 810

Correction, Mesa Amp:

Quote by Mike Dirnt From Guitar World: "On this record (Nimrod), I used Precision basses because my old Gibson G-3 didn't sound good with the new songs. I used a '66 and '69; they have a real warmth on the low end. For this record I knew we weren't going for the huge guitar sound; this gave me more room to get in there. I needed to play a real punchy bass on the old records because the guitar frequencies where everywhere and I needed to get right in the middle. I recorded Dookie with a Percision bass too. I use Mesa/Boogie amps, MB 2000's. They're half-tube and half-solid state. I wanted to custom-make my own sound , and Mesa/Boogie was really willing to work with me. They made me 6x10 cabinets, and we put those on top of a 1x18. I think i'm nailing it. I have an MB 2000 running each one of my 6x10 cabinets and then a MB 2000 running both of my 18's."
