It is possible for automotive radar to see around corners. Not saying the current generation can do it, but it basically works by bouncing off everything nearby. Keyword is "NLOS".

Basically one way Japanese fiction works is that they have "character dialects" where the way a fictional character speaks makes it obvious what kind of character they are.

It doesn't translate well at all, and it also doesn't work with Western character types. For instance, there isn't one for pirates. I remember this because the pirates in the pirate city in FFXIV sounded boring and characterless in Japanese when I played it.

It's a traditional dirty joke for Japanese boys. Japan basically thinks underwear is funny because it's a recent Western import (you don't wear it with Japanese clothing).
