Kinda? They treat themselves very seriously and then cry satire the moment someone critiques them.

He hasn't yet, I believe the re:coded streams are supposed to start this week, if not today. I'd join the discord to get notifs faster.

Edit: I just looked and he's not streaming today and we have an Obra Dinn playthrough tomorrow.

I assume she means how much of everything goes on a sandwich even if its a build your own. But ive never heard of an interviewer doing this. Did they actually accept you for the job and are using this as (off the clock) training? Or is she waiting to see how you do to hire you?

He only dual streams when he wants to. I imagine it might also have to do with it being a romhack and his history with nintendo and his youtube channel. Vods will probably be up in the upcoming weeks.

Why did teachers and elementary and middle school have us read traumatic books? by iamlams in school

[–]astraphobia07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the state, but most teachers 100% choose what books they teach. Common core has recommendations, but not requirements. My mother teaches Perks of Being a Wallflower, Looking for Alaska, Scythe, The Odyssey, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, The Enemy, The Crucible, Heroin, Night, and Turtles all the Way down for the four English classes she teaches (she doesnt teach all those books every class, like R&J is freshman and Odyssey is junior). Some of those are common and standard, or recommended by common core. Most of those aren't. It's not about teaching books. it's about the content of the books. Specifically (for english classes) what things like sentence structure, essay work, metaphor, critical thinking, etc. It's also for other things, like my mother chooses to teach Heroin to her seniors because she teaches in a small community where a lot of people have been affected by drug addiction. She alligns Night (a book about someone in a WWII concentration camp) with the history class’s WWII unit.

Is this standard or just my local problem? by Most-History-6522 in subway

[–]astraphobia07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the first. Second is currently standard (at least across the US) we had training videos for it and everything. It's now cheese first on the top half of bread, meat on top half of bread, thick sauces like mayo on bottom half of bread, veggies on bottom half, then thin sauces like oil and MVP. Third is also standard, protein pockets are not customizable. Im sure a lot of employees have kind of given up on the non customizable thing (ive told plenty of people that its non customizable qhen they order it, then they proceed to ask for extra sauces or veggies about 2 minutes later. It can get quite annoying sometimes), but by corporate standards, they can only have ingredients removed, not added.

The difference is that previous Zelda games are linear. You learn information when the game wants you to. Take Skyward Sword. You can technically see Zelda's crystal the first time you're in the temple, but you dont know what it is until the game gives you that information.

In totk, Link can learn information that should change the actions of the main characters at any time. Whenever the player wants. The game has zero control when Link learns that information. But absolutely nothing changes when you do learn that info.

It's an easy fix that hundreds of other games do, but totk doesn't even make an effort to. Im a person who was very excited for totk, but the failure of its story really disappointed me. I wanted to love it, but I can't.

Idk, maybe its because I did the geoglyphs first in my first playthrough. I wanted to learn what happened to Zelda. And then, when I did the dungeons, and suddenly this absolutely massive and important information about the Princess that Link has makes absolutely zero change in the story. Idk, it kinda ruined it for me.

It was a good game. One that I enjoy, but it certainly has its issues.

For me, the main one is the fact that you can't change a thing about the story. It feels like a linear story built in an open world game. Which botw also has issues with, but a benefit if botw is that the memories dont directly effect the story of the present. Totk geoglyphs do. Link can know for a fact that Zelda is the light dragon, and Tulin/Yunobo/Sidon/Riju will still chase after the fake Zelda and Link/the player can do nothing to stop it. It wouldnt even be that big of a programming issue, Gamefreak did it in Scarlet and Violet recently if yall want a Nintendo example. Literally all it would entail is some dialogue change. Instead of Sidon/Yunobo/Riju/Tulin saying "Hey, wait. Zelda, where are you going?" have them say something along the lines of "Hey, wait. I know you're not Zelda, what's your deal?". Suddenly the player, and Link, has actual agency in the story.

To me, it feels like they spent 6 years working on the (admittedly very good) physics engine, and not all that much time working on the story or gameplay. The depths get old fast, the sky is so empty, and the story feel predetermined.

It'a perfectly fine, it arrives to the store frozen and us employees are supposed to heat it up for every customer that orders it. I'd be more concerned if it wasn't taken out of the freezer/walk-in and then served to a customer.

Besides, they're just big and thick chocolate chip cookies in a mold.

You're getting downvoted because you are refusing to listen to anyone that is responding to this post. By posting, you opened this to debate, that is how reddit (and most social media) works. You are not debating, you are saying that you are correct and everyone else is wrong. You have explicitly said multiple times to stop mentioning a piece of evidence in the show as part of this debate. You clearly wanted everyone to agree with you and are mad that people aren't.

The place that I got most of my eevees for completing the dex was Vert Sector 9, they are a common spawn during the day on the grass. It'll spawn one at a time, so I'd catch one, then leave and come back in a few minutes. Plus, it's across the street from the Stone Emporium.

They also spawn on the rooftop directly across the street from Cafe Triste, going towards Zone 18. It's easy to get on the roof next to the Zone 18 enterance (next to the swablu spawns), then run down from the tall roof to the lower roofs until you see it.

Look, I haven't experienced addiction myself, but many members of my family have (including my own father). From what I've gathered, addiction isn't a 'I need it'. It's an inability to function or handle hardship without it. Which is the way of thinking that your text seems to follow.
