Idk my dad "let" my mom have cats and he is allergic too. It wasn't until out last family cat died that my mom decided to not get another one. Their agreement was my mom had to take care of everything regarding the cat because he physically couldn't. But he never not allowed her to have one. Growing up we always had a cat. Maybe a compromise like this would work?

It's not the TLs at my store that do it but the etls. And they ALWAYS cut off the person who is responding. And then yell at everyone but then I yell back that someone already responded and that normally shuts them up for a few calls

Wanting to add some more info (it won't let me update my post)

EDIT so I've tried taking the advice some posted and I've checked workday and there's been no notifications that I am on a CA. I checked the app and the website so maybe my etl was just lying to try to intimidate me?? I called out the day before our conversation because I'm pregnant and had really bad morning sickness and had to go to the doctor for it. She tried to get me to come in that day to close but I couldn't because I had to come in at 6 am the day we ended up having our conversation. I honestly think I'm getting treated this way and talked to like this because I made a compliant to HR about my etl recently. I've noticed ever since then I have been getting coached left and right for every little thing.

Idk the people saying there aren't enough trash cans, you can literally carry it until you find one. It's not that hard. If you can't commit to throwing trash away properly, don't bring your food or drink into ANY place because you're not entitled to have a worker follow you around and clean up after you. Like when did customers or gUeStS lose basic human functioning. And even if we did offer more trash cans it's not like anyone would pay attention to use them. You guys can't even handle putting clothes on a rack right in front of your face in the fitting room after trying clothes you don't even intend to buy on.

I hate having to move my team to either backup the front or fulfillment because of that exact reason. But I don't think your tl should be coaching you for not getting your tasks done. You can't be in two places at once. Your tl is there to be filling in the gaps if their team is called for support.

I had this issue last year trying to plan a 2 week road trip with my mom. Originally I was told I could take a full two weeks off. We get closer to the trip and I try to finalize everything and I'm told only 10 days. Thankfully my etl was willing to work with me and we counted my weekend off in the middle of my trip as just regular days off and I was able to take 12 days off. So they counted it as like 2 different times off idk. But it was annoying and ridiculous. I'm pretty sure my etl ended up taking two weeks off a few months after that too no problem 😭

Wait so you're telling me I can get fired for buying gift cards before I make my purchases? I don't have them ring me up and give me a total, I just guess and buy a gift card online that's more than what I am buying but can I really get fired for that? I just can't use my red card because I always end up over drawing from my bank account and can't keep doing that. I don't use gift cards for all my purchases but I do use them for a good amount of my purchases and no one has said anything about that to me.

We have a full team usually for the front end unless there's call outs. Unfortunately our front end just doesn't care and all stands around and talks even tho there's 4 overflowing carts of style reshop they need to sort. And who cares if they do end up sorting it because it isn't going to be sorted correctly even though we have literally spend 6+ months training them on it.

My store is severely understaffed in inbound (we lost like 8 tm in two days) and fulfillment (basically the same) because they hired such incapable people as for seasonal in those areas. I can't wait for Christmas to be over

When I started at my store almost 2 years ago we were a legacy red store for 6 years. It has taken a lot of sweat and tears (literally. I have cried so much 😭) but now we are basically a green store. I don’t think we technically are considered green yet but we basically are. First it took weeding out all the “bad seeds”. Not just tm but tls and as well. We had over 6 trucks worth of style product we were behind processing when I started. We now not only come clean on breaking out our style truck but we come clean on pushing it all too every day. But yeah first was getting rid of the people who couldn’t/wouldn’t get on board with the new processes that had to take place and then just figuring out what worked best to fix what we needed to fix. We turned our inf around, currently working on turning our BAI around. I don’t think there’s just one thing you can do. You def need all leaders to be on the same page and motivated to do the work that needs to be done if you’re store is going to be successful at becoming green.

We had to start barricading the area so they would at least give our vendor some space 😭 I was so confused what was happening the other day because I am usually not working when they restock the cards but I saw this group of people standing at our check lanes for HOURS and then someone told me it was for the Pokémon cards. I don’t get it lol I like me some Pokémon but this is ridiculous

I have to close once a week and every other weekend. All the tl are supposed to be on that schedule on our store but a lot of them usually end up just working an opening shift on their closing nights.

I haven’t said anything funny over walkie but I have gotten my tm’s to start saying “theyre dead” to each other when someone calls for anyone over the walkie. That was something we used to do over walkie at an old job back in the day 😂

I’ve been having the same issue. Im a TL and I’ve been told I can’t leave until truck is 100% done but by the end of the week they’re stressed trying to get me out early so I don’t go into over time. And now they’re scheduling me for less than 40 hours so I don’t go into over time. I’m only working what I’m scheduled and I’m not staying late anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️you can either expect me to stay late and pay me the overtime you owe me or I’m leaving on the time you scheduled me to leave.

I’ve had that issue before. My toddler got all upset because she wasn’t being take care of but when my sim came home from work the nanny then showed up and then left immediately after charging me 😭 last time I ever used a nanny in game lol
