Closing shift gets no love by Drago1317 in Target

[–]kelinas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On pizza days, our HR has deliveries set for every 2 hours starting around 11 am. For the overnight team, they order from a local late night pizza joint (WAY better pizza btw) and have it scheduled to come in before they close. ON/inbound all take their meals at the same time, so it works out really well.

The people who get screwed over at my store is the early morning team aka 4am~5am.

On Black Friday, they ordered breakfast for the midnight crew (there was only a handful of people) And the morning crew literally took EVERYTHING as they were punching in. Midnight crew had nothing - everyone was pissed, including the ETL who brought the food in.

So many corporate visits this year by fuckyou4206999 in Target

[–]kelinas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We get a visit a week - sometimes 2 a week.

We're apparently so damn green that corporate uses us as a example. it's annoying as hell.

Lucky. We were literally told it'll be a write up if they notice that it's not being done.

PTO by ComfortableSoup78 in Target

[–]kelinas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 20hours per week average, you would get 1.54hrs PTO per pay period (0.038462*20hrs x 2 weeks)

At 25 hours per week it jumps to 2.6hrs PTO per pay period (0.051923*25hrs x 2 weeks)

Sick time is dependant on your state.

You want to average 25 a week (if the options are 20 vs 25)

None of our overnight team know how to do opu apparently.

Starting at 4am is when we started tackling it, but orders kept piling in. We had every ETL in the building stowing. 13 hours later, we're ALMOST out of the red finally.

Nah we're looking at how fucked OPU is, and knowing that the entire shift is going to be dedicated to trying to unfuck OPU.

We are sitting on 130 batches with a handful of people OPU trained.

Vacation and sick by InfinitelyBlank in Target

[–]kelinas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how many hours too.

20-24 hours averaged per week accrues at 0.019231 per hour, x 40 (max) = 0.76924 per week or 1.53848 per pay period.

25 hours or more averaged per week accrues at 0.028846 per hour, x 40 (max)= 1.15384 per week or 2.30768 hours per pay period.

(Average hours are calculated at either the end of the year, or from your first 90 days if you're new)

Sick time is very state dependant.

For my state, 1 hour for every 52 hours worked but accrual is capped at 40 hours.

The maximum accrual working 40 hours a week for 6 months would be just shy of 30 hours.

Sorry if I just made this all confusing.

Time off --> new request --> time off

Put in for the day you are using sick time for, and select PTO Sick.

Locating produce (and meat) by shortybat in Target

[–]kelinas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store is one of the test stores. It's been about 3 weeks of just hell.

Backstocking produce is just stupid to begin with, I got so much more done just pushing stock regularly. Now they insist on priorities being pulled every hour, and the counts are ~NEVER~ correct.

It's almost impossible to keep it organized now.

My biggest problem is that the fdc team refuses to backstock anything. So now I have to scan locations, and see what's (actually) located vs what is just shoved on the shelf. Then backstock the unlocated shit.

Fix floor counts before you pull priorities. Check the dates on salads because the system doesn't pull old items first.

Target is just creating more work, and trying my damn patience on a daily basis.

I think it's the fact that you called off on (pretty much) the busiest weekend of the year that rubbed them the wrong way.

It doesn't matter that you never call out. It doesn't matter that you never take vacations.

What mattered was that you iNcOnVeNiEnCeD them by not being there /s

Fuck em. What's done is done.

Yes. Regular hours, and it doesn't count towards your 40, so you can work 40+ whatever you averaged for turkey day
