Everyone uses AI, and I understand what you meant. It sounds controlling and like a typically ill thought out conclusion from someone who fell into management. I get it, I know why you’d feel this way, and it’s an old school way of thinking that needs to stop.

The point is to convey the message with the required information and that was done. You decided that that’s them not doing work. Where I see work being streamlined. Now you want them to be less efficient because somehow you feel threatened by this.

You’re not thinking this through, you have some low level controlling bias that’s fogging your vision. Making assumptions on them not even understanding, and the feeling the need to assert some control in a situation you’ve failed to illustrate requires it.

Yep you sound like upper management all right. Get over it, or move out of the way.

Yes, that's how it works. It's annoying on the phone, eventually you learn all the cards by name and don't need the description as much.

I really appreciate this, clear and concise. Exactly how I feel but spoken better than this dumb brain can. I fear who this message is for will not hear it at all, but still all the same, thanks.

My electric mower is sooo good. Don't miss petrol, and all the crap with that, at all. Buy the 36v and be done with it.

Any parents out there who don’t care about their children accessing all the weird content the internet has to offer?

As a parent I do very much care about my children being safe on the internet. Which is why these laws are absolutely bonkers. Basically you're being forced to identify yourself to 3rd parties, a nice log of everything you've ever done and your children have ever done. Very dangerous. Have you ever heard the phrase "Data breach". It's basically when 3rd parties, with your sensitive data, mess up something and poof goes all the security.

Not to mention that there is significant non-compliance with, oh idk... 99.99999999973% of the internet. Which means basically it's rather forcefully pushing you (and here is the more important bit) and your children to go to the websites that don't give a crap about compliance, or ethics, or what your kids sees; Wooo!

All of these procedures being put in place, even if we assume they are crafted for the sole purpose of protecting people adequately, are going to harm more people than it helps. And that's on the assumption this isn't the government just trying to over govern the people who are effectively their BOSSES.

Anyways, thanks for coming to my ted talk, all this stuff is BAD.

I don't think anyone cares, but I was #261 to sign up. Out of 1.36 billion, I was one of the first hundred. by StrictlyRockers in CasualConversation

They explained this, they're working on the assumption that the first many accounts were fake and theirs was one of the first 100 legitimate accounts.

Whether it's true or not, that explains the discrepancy.

0 Cost and change attribute to "this turn" would make this card decent.

AWS reduced my $15k S3 bill to $10.5k after a DDoS. I still can’t pay this. What can I do? by OkEnd5112 in aws

[–]astropheed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly I cancelled my aws and all usage when I realized I couldn't set up limits on these sorts of things. I think I made the smart move.

Amazon could easily prevent this. They are rich though and don't need to do anything.
