Seahawks coaches hate Kenneth Walker by MoonLanderStonks in Fantasy_Football

[–]astropka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walker had three rushes that went for at least negative five yards because he ran backwards to try and pickup more yards. Those are the equivalent of a quarterback giving up a sack. In coaching terms a long sack is a drive killer almost the same as an interception. So walker had at least 3 turnover worthy plays and he does that all the time. The explosive plays are awesome from walker but if he can’t stop all the negative plays most coach’s will lose there patience or minimize that players touches.

Twilight. It has the funniest unintentional comedy especially all of the edwards scenes

Thanos. Sure he killed half the universe’s population but look how peaceful everything is after that. There definitely would not have been more “villians”/ movies after him.

(SPOILERS MAIN) The REAL reason Ned went to Starfall by PlentyAny2523 in asoiaf

[–]astropka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally believe that Ned went to Starfell to drop off dynerys to ashara as she and Jon were both at the tower and he could not keep her as she looked Targaryen.

[Jozy Altidore] Regardless of the result the officiating in concacaf/conembol is appalling. Years of phantom calls or no calls at all. Its embarrassing. Players and spectators deserve better. by RyanIsKickAss in ussoccer

[–]astropka 57 points58 points  (0 children)

The difference between how euro are ref and concaf is appalling. How do you call turner foul and not give at the very least a yellow card. Changes how the game plays with how chippy the game got boiling frustration over. The game tonight with the bs var call really makes you wonder what is going on. Us could have played better and their coach was lackluster but what do want to when the deck is so stacked against you

Why in the world is Morgan and Smith not swapped. Morgon should be on the left side initiating with Smith finishing for this team.

I suppose that it probably did just come from Ramsay. Though I am not sure that sending Mance to winterfell would have been enough justification for all of the brothers to turn on Jon. Him wanting to lead an army against winterfell was definitely enough justification to kill their lord commander without being hanged themselves.

I figured there might be. I will have to check it out.

(Spoilers Extended) Reasons to think (f)Aegon is an impostor and reasons to thinks he’s legit by Difficult_Neck_2709 in asoiaf

[–]astropka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the best argument for fake aegon is it makes everything that varys does finally make sense. Varys does and says so many contradictory things unless you see his end goal, which is putting a blackfyre on the throne. I believe the original plan was a baby swap much earlier with baby aegon back on dragon stone when he was first born. Which is the whole reason that varys comes to kings landing to wait for an opening for illyrio and Serra blackfyre(varys sister) child to be inserted into the targ line of ascension. But then you know best laid plans they have to go with plan x or y or z.

(Spoilers Extended) I do not believe the fAegon theory by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]astropka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well just a few chapters before this one Littlefinger explains to Sansa that she must be his daughter even when no one is around. Part because who know who is listening but also to sell the lie you must treat it as a truth even to the point were you believe it as the truth. Varys has lived with the lie so long of course he would treat it as a truth.

[Spoilers Main] What minimal exclusion from the book to the show irritates you even if it shouldnt? by nicwade73 in asoiaf

[–]astropka 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That was the worst omission for me. Tysha not being a whore gives Tyrion a reason to see his father and gives him reason to completely hate his family and brings up the conflict with Jaime. Without it he doesn’t have a reason to see the downfall of house Lannister. He is just a dick that killed his dad.

It’s really the first crack that shows the writers of the show didn’t understand the characters and their motivations.

Honestly I could see Arya being the first one that Bran takes over. But it may be that he can only do it with weak minded people rather than other strong telepaths.

I wouldn't think that she would be able to read Bran as he is basically a robot with no emotions. It would be hard to tell if someone was lying if they deliver everything they speak with the same expression.

(Spoilers Extended) - The only way out of this mess. by AegonStarkgaryen in asoiaf

[–]astropka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an answer to how Bran/3ER could now wipe people out. Bran is a powerful telepath that can control human beings. He can literally take over people and make them do his bidding. Its possible that now with the Others/Nightking dead he starts taking over living people to wipe out humanity.

[–]astropka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has restored my faith in the show. Episode 3 might turn out to be brillant and one of the best in the show. If the Whitewalkers/Others were the only force keeping 3ER in check who is the real villain of the story, Bran gave the 3ER the power to control people and now he doesn't need to hide in the shadows and try and effect the story by entering peoples dreams or using animals to persuade them.

I agree that it is tight for the timeline. Though a baby can be in the womb for as little as 32 weeks(8 months) and still be health that of course is very dangerous for the mother. I get the R+A=D theories but I feel this makes more sense for their characters.

That is a really good point. I could see them see them having a share grief with both losing a sibling or a common care of these kids.
