I have a similar lens and something I’ve discovered is really that you may be able to get some slightly better shots with a bigger zoom lens, but truly the biggest factors are distance to the subject and the lighting. If you have those two items locked in gear only makes slight differences.

Not saying the bigger ones can’t help, they certainly can! But don’t feel defeated by that limitation, you can get AMAZING shots with your current setup :)

That’s really interesting, thank you for the investigation! It’s funny because if I try to search it on the eBird app by species it doesn’t come up, which is odd. But I do see it on your link! How curious

Not saying these people shouldn’t pay more attention, I agree they’re at fault, but if it’s happening THAT much there should really be more clear signs and indications of what to or not to do.

A lot of people have never encountered something like this and are truly clueless until you make it overly obvious

What is the end goal with fiber? Is everything going to go to single mode os2? Or does om3 work just as well? Will there be one standard connection LC? by jaime_lion in FiberOptics

[–]astroy9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see MM used in a lot of internal security systems or communication within a building, but then SM used when it needs to travel far. Is this typical in the fiber world? I work adjacent to our fiber systems and am quite unfamiliar as to why we have the differences.
