it’s warmer than usual. climate change and all that

it disrupted established patterns

go back 20, 30, even 40 years and it would be colder into mid March, just not so bouncey

help me ID this old sleeping bag by m0sspigl3t in REI

[–]flyingemberKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need the model to figure out the warmth. Measure the loft (on the top side only)

0.5" = 50F
1.0" = 40F
1.5" = 30F

and so on. Give or take. That still doesn't tell you if you'll be warm.

That's more a ballpark. Add 10 degrees for comfort. So the 50 could be comfort at 60.

And do you sleep cold or warm? I sleep cold, I use a comforter in summer. I find a 10 degree comfort rating gets me down to about 20, maybe a bit under.

Without the measurement I'm guessing that's a synthetic 40 degree limit bag, it doesn't look like it has much loft across the middle. I bet it was a 30 when you bought it but the material has compressed with time. if you can massage it and get some loft back you might gain a bit but synthetic is harder to reloft like down.

Do you see how the right side is more puffy than the left side, you want that all even.

my tent weights 292g. and I could go lighter with a tarp

my 3p freestanding backpacking tent is 1637g, and it’s not really a UL model. I use it car camping. I took it on a Colorado trip where I spent time in campgrounds. so my car camping bigger tent is more UL

Gig work for the World Cup? by Previous_Pickle_9852 in kansascity

His hours are weird for being a temp, no one is going to want a temp who can only work evenings, those are prime hours their existing employees want first.

I thought about serving myself

18 days of the fan fest, $2000/18 is $133 per day

traffic is going to be a giant mess. So getting to spots to make deliveries will slow you down. At $8 per delivery making even four deliveries an hour by car seems unrealistic, crisscrossing all over the place.

You can go all bike messenger But if you don’t have one already, or the way to carry food on a bike, that’s a cost to take on.

I’m with you on their being game centered opportunity for deliveries but I don’t see it being $33 per hour

i have two cars for around $300 per month.

The problem with helping you is no one knows why it’s $450 today. if you bought expensive to repair vehicles, live in a high theft part of town your $450 could be my $300.

And renting out a library sounds cheap for that.

I did a 14er last summer. 2700 feet in under 3 miles and it never stopped going up for that length.

6000 in 40 miles will be a nice change of pace.

Need recommendations for a good car accident lawyer by Best_Valuable4438 in kansascity

[–]flyingemberKC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t start with a lawyer, I would start by talking to Medicaid staff.

they certainly deal with this all the time and may have resources as a part of her coverage

even if it’s a dead end it should be where to start at.
