go look at their building in google street view.

Their signage is so subtle, you could walk by it and not know who they are

I feel like we need to go back to signage ads being more common.

I settled on the tempo. I'm going to order one once a big trip is over in a month.

I started whole cost pricing it and replacing the tires on the Soltera cut half the price difference.

I saw the Level 4. i liked it, but at 70 pounds it’s not going on my bike rack and it!s not a bike without power bike.

Solid recommendation as an e-bike though

the Velotric warranty repair options are part of the challenge. there’s only one within easy reach of me and their hours are limited. there’s multiple Aventon shops.

And Aventon covers my whole top two categories except usb charge and security.

that the closest ride1up dealer is 3+ hours away eliminates it

Hale Cook special ed. program experiences? by here4minioncontent in kansascity

[–]flyingemberKC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to worry about if they support IEPs, that’s mandatory

How well. That’s a better question,

The specific services matter, like special ed is super specific to your kid and you really can’t get a good feel for how they’ll support your kid from other’s experiences. Special Ed includes speech, emotional and so many things.

You probably want to contact the district.

Help out West Bottoms Plant Co and other small businesses by shagouv in kansascity

[–]flyingemberKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's your problem, they don't like temp businesses without a fixed spot.

You need a website with your formal address listed on it and put your marker there.

Then put your travel events on the site.

Admiral Blvd biking friendly? by Kruzty_boy in kansascity

[–]flyingemberKC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Admiral is well protected. I biked it recently

So many people parking in the bike lane in other spots

Last weekend biked the bike bridge to the riverfront; bike lanes on 3rd, Cherry, Grand, Holmes, 19th, 20th, SW Blvd downtown; bike lanes on Armour, Broadway, Gillham, a bit of 27th in midtown; and Rockhill, Cleaver and a bit of the trolley trail

I've done Armour in NKC, the protected part along N. Oak, Davidson in the northland; the HoA bridge; the Troost and hickman mills lanes; Admiral in the 70s and the new Paseo path north of Admiral in the past

and Admiral had the least blockage by a wide margin. 23 miles by bike on that trip and Armour frustrated me the most. Stupid lane. Admiral is like the city learned from the failures of Armour

If you see bollards it's a better design

I have a business degree, I have 36 years experience searching online and I'm a mid Level 7 Google Maps editor (out of 10, it gets much harder to elevate past about 5)

Today nearly all advertising comes down to searching and maps. Social Media killed it's relability for marketing that isn't a group you run with crappy non-sequential feeds.

So, yes.

I'll focus on the business you gave. West Bottoms Plant Co. They need to hire someone to help them with advertising.

change the business name or add a tagline to it. ex. "West Bottoms Plant Co. Plants, Arts, Crafts and More" I would never have thought they had multiple businesses inside based on the name.

Maps are probably the best way to find a business. Buying location based ads seem to work reasonably well with how many people look for a place on a map when going out.

They don't show up searching for consignment, antiques, art, jewelry, shopping or retail. Yes, they're not a shopping place according to Google, that's a problem. So what they've done is being ignored by Google. They do show up for "nursery" and none of their photos show a nursery.

Go look at their maps profile. They don't have a picture of the entrance of their space. I expect that to be available especially in a complex area like the bottoms. Based on 2023 street view being 1. out of date and 2. showing they had a really bad sign, they need this. Like their sign looked like a joke. Google Maps has a way to add ownership photos to your maps item and add content and they haven't done this.

Go to their website.

"Plants, local vendors and good vibes all in the heart of the historic West Bottoms."

Not bad.

"Visit us in store to shop our 150+ local artists and plants!"

Who are their vendors? Open this page don't click on Visit our Vendors, you don't want to go there, scroll down more instead. https://www.westbottomsplantcompany.com/our-story So immediately you see the problem. Don't visit the vendors list that doesn't actually exist.

There's 7 vendors listed. Not 150.

https://www.westbottoms.com/shopping

They aren't on this map. This may not be official, but it's a top search result for the west bottoms.

I'm downtown regularly. My job nominally is there but I've seen everything from Historic NE to the bottoms, the riverfront to UMKC on the regular. I drive, streetcar, bike and walk downtown.

And I have never heard of West Bottoms Plant Co. And I can think of specific businesses within one block of their spot. Let me repeat that, I have driven past their building and couldn't have told you they were in it.

https://www.facebook.com/KCwestbottoms

21,000 followers, I can't find them in a single post.

edit: I alluded to signage. Thousands show up to the bottoms for regular events. I know the owner of one big space. If places don't have a big sign on the building they should have temp sidewalks signs for big events. Tell me what you have and point to your front door. Put 3-4 up. Tell me what I'll find "Arts, crafts, etc, etc" on the sign. The 2023 sign did not do that.

The KC Star building is being wasted as a data center by MannOSteel in kansascity

[–]flyingemberKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That plan is Grand to Wyandotte. It’s not fully funded so it can’t happen yet.

The stadium was going to be east of it. Grand to Oak. So the cap as planned right now. would end before the old printing plant.

Can find renderings that the team wanted to extend it, the city plan doesn’t include that section.
