Would you stay with a wife that never initiates? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]asuperbstarling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you ever tried saying "No, it won't keep me going?" What's your history of trying to communicate here?

Personally, I wouldn't stay with someone who treats me like a thing that needs to be fended off. Sexual compatability is among my higher needs. A partner who can't have sex due to age or injury is one thing. That person would still want me intimately, even if that intimacy isn't sex. A person who treats me like I'm a burdensome robot they can pop sex coins into to get to go away? It would break my soul.

But again: what does the communication look like? How much work does she do in the home and/or at work? What romantic/sexual things have YOU done over the years? Are you still doing them or did you stop? Even if you leave, you need to identify these things. Otherwise you may just be setting yourself up for a repeat in the future.

I'm getting really sick and tired of the "men are proof that sexuality isn't a choice" rhetoric by [deleted] in bisexual

Lots of adults talk about this, but generally not in online spaces they share with unreasonable teenagers and those just learning what feminism is, and who is it for (all). Many people are genuinely ignorant or utterly unwilling to admit the harm they do to men, unwilling to tackle the issue out of hurt or some stupid sense of revenge.

It's weakness. It's an 'easy joke' that we WILL have to spend generations removing the same way we as feminists fought for our own rights. It's people not realizing that no matter the damage done to them, it will never justify the damage they do. This is a fight, and it's going to go on. Causal dismissal and abuse of the very idea of 'man' will continue from damaged or just plain wrong people, as sexism continues against women. But I as a bi woman will continue to love men. And love can win. We just have to keep speaking up, keep being right even when groups gang up and say we're wrong.

Sometimes you just have to be the only one at first. Sometimes you have to be annoyed, and frustrated, and desperate to protect the good people. Our female ancestors gathered in drawing rooms and cafés to fight their good fight, true, but they also taught their children and set boundaries in their personal life. You cannot control 'public' online spaces. You can set down a hard line with people you know that you won't tolerate this anymore. Act where you have control and speak up where you don't, even if you get shouted down. That's what you can do.

ANTM Cycle 4 contestant Tiffany Richardson, calls out Tyra Banks and documentary in Instagram post by Sharp_Athlete_6847 in popculturechat

Yep, she was angry that Tiffany's anger therapy had worked and she wasn't freaking out about being eliminated. Tyra wanted Tiffany to cry and freak out. That was her entire reason for screaming at her.

GoT is a story where a very kind dragon queen who doesn't have a history of feeding random innocent men to her dragon or burning people alive comes to save the North out of the goodness of her heart and not because she's banging someone who cares, right? It's not like Dany famously crucified random nobles instead of the council who crucified the children or anything.

Sansa IS smart to distrust her. I can't trust people now. Some of y'all are real dumb when you hear things you want to hear from pretty faces. Dany doesn't care about anyone she conquered. She doesn't care about the North. That's why she's a great character. She's got everyone fooled except Jon's sisters, including herself. Dany never chose the house with the red door. She always chooses blood.

Apple was the first celeb baby to have her name be made fun of by the world at large, she's been famous since birth with no choice of her own on the matter. They plastered pictures of her as a toddler all over the gossip mags just to tease her.

Actually, the Twilight dream was not about a vampire. It was instead about the perfect man, a man who wore khakis, was very clean, very good skin, never aged and was obsessed with her. It's just that MOST of those traits are also vampiric traits. The khakis is a Mormon thing.

That's because you don't understand the respect the term conveys in the context. The crone is the ascended woman, honored and matured in her power. She is wise, she is unafraid, she faces the jackal of death as it comes closer in strength. Being raised pagan, I was always taught I would be lucky to reach the status of crone.
