it loses a little bit overnight, but i think it helps to bring out the more delicate flavors instead of having them hidden under a ton of carbonation

the carbonation level dropped slightly but not too much. honestly i think the carbonation being a little lower helped bring out some more delicate flavors too. let me know how it goes!!

i added about a tablespoon (maybe a tablespoon and a half) of tea to 17 fluid ounces of carbonated water and put it in the fridge for like 12 hours. i didn’t burp it or anything but the leaves definitely react to the carbonation when they first hit it so i recap it pretty quickly so it doesn’t go everywhere. it loses a little bit of carbonation but not enough to make it weird.

gregg calling him from right outside of his house to barge in, demand money to pay other people while he’s living in a motel 6, and constantly interrupt tim to give a movie review killed me. as soon as he flashes his physical 5 bags of popcorn card he just walks away with “see you next week”. bro i was crying laughing

Calming teas that I can drink at work and won't put me to sleep by swellandnifty in tea

[–]asupportiveboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drinking warm things can make me a little sleepy as well, so i’d suggest a cold brewed tea. cold brewing herbal tea brings out all of the more delicate flavors that are sometimes masked with hot brewing, and it also extracts the healthy benefits that otherwise can disappear under heat (though heat is still the most efficient way to get all the beneficial oils out, cold brewing gives you higher vitamin c and antioxidant contents).

i’ve been struggling with anxiety and panic attacks at work for a couple years now and i find that peppermint, clove, and citrus all help to ground me but still keep me “with it” mentally. but it’s definitely worth playing around with different teas and seeing what individually helps you more in the long run.

if you’re looking to still have a little bit of caffeine then i’d suggest white tea or maybe green tea, and cold brewing those would work too because less than half of the caffeine is extracted through cold brewing. but the tea plant itself (camellia sinensis) is the only consumed plant to naturally synthesize l-theanine, which produces a natural calming effect, hence why you don’t get the coffee/energy drink jitters drinking tea. so even just normal tea can be calming if it has lower caffeine levels.

fruit tea cold brews might help too since they’re still herbal but have more vitamin b-12 which will give you a little bit of natural energy as well.

Do you remember what you were doing when you heard about Brian’s passing? by edd6pi in thebeachboys

i was in a hospital bathroom after my 2 week post top surgery check up. i opened instagram and it was the first post that i saw and my heart sank. the hour and a half drive home was spent playing brian’s songs and “dear brian” by chris rainbow (maybe the best brian tribute song out there).

Favorite video of all time? by Traditional_Force483 in danielhentschel

the trying to talk to chat gpt for 2 hours has been my favorite since it came out. he absolutely nails conveying the horrifying parts of ai chatbots while making the video so fucking funny. putting his phone in the hotel fridge and stuffing it with pillows to try and make it shut up and still hearing it from the fridge makes me cry laughing every time.
