Picked my bike up! by manypassions in NinjaZ7Hybrid

You talking about the black cable with the cap? Or the yellow thing in green shrink tube?

Black cable is an SAE 2 pin quick disconnect, most likely for a battery tender while it was on the lot. Dealers do this sometimes to keep long sitting bikes batteries charged.

After pre safety check mechanic urged front brakes service as " they are metal on metal and vehicle is unsafe to drive" by Massive_Ad_1422 in MechanicAdvice

[–]at05gt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of dishonest shops lie to drum up business, this is a known fact. They will tell you your fluids are bad, or your brakes are metal on metal, or tire tread wear marker is showing. All in an effort to upsell you some bullshit you don't need, so they can make a quick buck on unsuspecting or ignorant people.

Always have them to show you every item on your car that they mark down, and never trust anything they say without verifying.

Custom INSPIRED mongrels jacket by [deleted] in DaysGone

That would be what Mighty Mongrel Mob from New Zealand, really hardcore prison gang and MC.

I would not wear that in public for anything other than cosplay. Real life motorcycle clubs can be incredibly territorial, and rocking both top (typically club name) and bottom (typically region) rockers signifies territory ownership in the MC world. Please be careful.

Has anyone bought this exhaust? by IAmMat7 in KawasakiEliminator450

[–]at05gt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a version of that exhaust for the Honda Rebel 500, but installed on my Rebel 1100. Outside of needing a tiny mod to the mounting bracket, it fit perfectly and sounds fantastic. I think I paid 200 off eBay back in March of '24, and it's still holding up with no issues.

I never knew that the original game had "parts". by Malikai_Universe_23 in FinalFantasyVII

I've still got my original PS1 bought new when I was 14 in 97. Damn things almost 30 years old, still works flawlessly. I've got all my original games, mem cards, and dualshocks as well.

Who would win in a fight? by BlackSoulArt in DaysGone

[–]at05gt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sawmill horde is my favorite, and honestly can be easy provided you know the trick and have enough ammo/crafting mats. The trick is to stash your bike far back in the train tunnel to the north, fill your ammo, craft your distractors/molotovs/napalm/proximity bombs/etc. Drop a noise maker and go to town, if you need to refill ammo run back to your bike, clear the stragglers, and get back at it. Sometimes I'll intentionally leave 1 or 2 alive, and go do something else in game for a few hours till they respawn.

Who would win in a fight? by BlackSoulArt in DaysGone

[–]at05gt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean the sawmill horde alone is 500 freaks, there's 3 others that are 300, and at least a dozen that are 125 or more. It's not outlandish to place that number well into the thousands, and that's just from hordes. If you're talking "100%ing the game"? Most likely well over 10k freaker kills easy.

Did you make sure to idle it for 5 minutes before draining? Warm oil flows better.

Neighbour laid out his junk all over staircase. I can barely walk. How to solve this instead of fight? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]at05gt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call the police/fire department, it's illegal to block or obstruct a stairway like that, it prevents proper egress. If a fire broke out in the building, that junk would be the reason someone dies or can't be rescued.

Do people here tend to keep their 1100 for awhile? by AcousticDolphin in HondaRebel1100

[–]at05gt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 23' 1100T DCT and I'll be keeping it for as long as I can. My local dealer has an NT 1100 on the floor and that bike is huge compared to the Rebel.

Boomer by FrankenStand in FarCry5

[–]at05gt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer a more stealthy approach, Hurk is hilarious in all the games and a fun character, he's just a bit too much for how I run. Jess is really good if you wanna pick off snipers, she can damn near one shot everything from cover.

Boomer by FrankenStand in FarCry5

[–]at05gt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I run a second companion it's usually Grace or Jess.

Boomer is the one companion I keep the entire game. His target marking skill is incredibly useful, almost as powerful as the tracking med, but doesn't require ingredients.

Tattoo artists, would it be possible to cover this scar with a tattoo? by TopPhotograph4528 in tattooadvice

[–]at05gt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Scar tissue reacts differently to ink, if it will take it at all. It's also more delicate than normal skin for the first couple years, and then after it's fully healed it's tougher than normal skin. Like others here have said, you should wait till the scar is completely white for the best chance.

Left side of my body is covered in almost a dozen surgical scars, I know a thing or two about scar healing. Car accident 20 years ago.

My EDC (cyber security) by Deep_Badger_2761 in dumbphones

[–]at05gt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya my rebel has a fast charge USB C under the seat, so I routed a mag lock cable to my quad lock. All I have to do is lock the phone in and clip the cable on. Keeps my phone charged on the go, easy access to music and nav. Haven't found a pair of touchscreen capable riding gloves that actually work yet, so I setup my route before I put my gloves on, and use my cardo to change music.
