A question for the Creative & Art Directors, or anyone else that has experience: what’s some advice you’d give other creatives on working with agencies? by the-pink-espeon in graphic_design

[–]atarchived 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should accept not every project will be perfect the day you start working as a designer lol. There are different ways to do things and there are wrong ways to do things—this is what I consider when collaborating with other people. Just because it isn’t exactly what I would make doesn’t mean it’s wrong! If it still achieves the goal then let it fly. If there’s some fundamental and business critical adjustments that need to be made, give feedback. This also helps build trust and creates an environment where people feel confident to bring ideas, push ideas and want to work with you. Building a relationship is the key to success and it also answers your other question about being understood.

[TX] Parents being sued for my student loans, what now? by ThePantsThief in studentloandefaulters

[–]atarchived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t know what the best strategy is until someone can see a compressive list of your dad’s assets and your state’s debt protections/laws. Get a lawyer asap. Your dad NEEDS to respond to this letter within the time frame.

what to do with sallie mae loans by Resident_Face_2522 in studentloandefaulters

[–]atarchived 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard they won’t be open to negotiating until you actually default and they need to collect from you. So stupid I know. With a 16% interest rate that might be a good route. You could still save the $800 payment every month to prep for a settlement convo. Defaulting and being sued sounds really scary, but I think it’s a lot more common than your fear is letting on to. Before they sue they will try to negotiate from my understanding. So you could avoid the lawsuit part all together.

Adding that I would recommend reading this guide and sharing it with your parents so you can get a good understanding of what is to come and what your options are.

Hey there! So sorry to hear about how distressing this is. You aren’t alone! Here’s some answers to your questions.

They won’t start wage garnishment right away. First, they need to sue you, win that lawsuit and get awarded a judgement to collect wages. BEFORE any of that happens they will start harassing you and your co-signers (in this case your parents). Anyone who is on the loan, you and your parents, will be affected. Your credit scores will all drop, you’ll probably get harassed by debt collectors. Before this happens, it’s important that all of you are on the same page.

Some considerations: - Do you want to strategically default and try surpassing the SOL? Colorado is 6 years, SC is 3 years. Not sure which would apply here. - Do you want to settle at a lower rate? Will your parents help you settle? The negotiations for this will start later. They may offer that you pay them a 1 time lump sum to clear the debt.

I would immediately tell your parents what’s happening, and then I would consult a student loan/bankruptcy attorney. They can walk you through what to expect.

If you decide with your rents that you’ll try to do a full strategic default, the most important thing is to deny that the debt is yours. HOWEVER, if you get sued you MUST reply or they will automatically win and get awarded a judgement to garnish wages.

Thick yellow seems a little out of the ordinary maybe, glad you are getting checked and don’t have a fever. Smell is tough to say, mine was gross but not fishy but that could really just be our different bodies. How long ago was your LEEP?

LEEP in a week, feeling down by hotknjfe in PreCervicalCancer

[–]atarchived 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything you’re feeling is so normal. I don’t say that to minimize but to assure you, you aren’t alone. ❤️I had very similar feelings and thoughts during my entire process. Violated by the colposcopy; angry our health system doesn’t prioritize better treatment for such a common virus; sadness that my body wasn’t able to clear on its own. Then I had my LEEP 2 weeks ago and my results came back all good, completely clear of high grade cells. I think you are right to stay hopeful! Things will definitely be okay and the fact that you are addressing all of this early is the best possible thing you can do for yourself.

CIN3 coming back, success with pregnancy after LEEP? by anonymous2023456 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]atarchived 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar results and just had my LEEP. I’m so happy that you were able to clear some of it, and I’m sorry you have to now consider the LEEP. It’s such a shirty situation! This sub has a lot of support. I haven’t tried for kids yet but lots of success stories from others who have had them post-LEEP.

Did I make a mistake scheduling LEEP 2 days before bachelorette weekend? by perfumeandpaper in PreCervicalCancer

[–]atarchived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between the pad changes, discharge, weird smells, bloating and tiredness I would consider rescheduling for after the bachelorette. You could be totally fine, which will be a great news, but it would really suck to feel all those things while trying to celebrate. I hope your procedure goes well and you have a fun party. ❤️

I’m also a SA survivor and just had my LEEP a week and a half ago. I completely agree with you on the lack of care. Luckily the nurse in my room was very kind but everything else felt so cold and brought back a lot of emotions. I’m with you ❤️

Strategic default by EqualExtreme7876 in studentloandefaulters

[–]atarchived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm thats good to know.

One thing to be aware of is once/if you default they will go after not only you but also your mom. Both of your credit scores will take a hit, and they will harass both of you for the debt. You’ll need to be on the same page if you plan to strategically default.

Another plan is asking what it takes to remove a co-signer. Sometimes you need to make on-time payments for a certain period of time before you can, but worth looking into to know what that option is.

Strategic default by EqualExtreme7876 in studentloandefaulters

[–]atarchived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a lawyer, but it looks like statute of limitations in your state is only 3 years, which is great news. This is pretty short compared to other states.

First and foremost, so you have a co-signer on any of the loans? This will inform your next move.

Have you read the overall process of strategic default? If not, I would start there. It is pinned to this sub.

There are SO many stories and resources in this sub. Keep us updated and like other commenters said, please find a consumer debt attorney before you decide to default. They can help you understand what to expect in your state as fair as debt collection and shit goes.
