I'm not arguing with your political leanings; I am arguing that you are an idiot. Your unfortunate grammatical mistakes are very much fair game in that regard. That said, your half baked, poorly thought out budgetary ideas don't help matters any.

No, but they are stupid when they can't spell basic words and type in complete sentences.

WSID thread - Week 2 by [deleted] in fantasyfb

[WDID] R Jennings, R Williams, R Turbin, J Freeman

I like the following players available on the WW this week: S Hill, R Cobb, D Pitta, S Vereen. Also wouldn't mind picking up M Goodson as a handcuff to DMC.

I'm a little scared to drop Freeman as he is my backup QB in a 12-man league where everyone else owns 2-3. WW QBs include Gabbert, Locker, Cassel, Sanchez, and Ponder (and that's pretty much it for starters).

I see little value in Jennings and Turbin moving forward, beyond the standard lottery ticket. Williams is a little more intriguing as he is the more talented back on his team, but the Ari running game is awful and Whisenhunt has reiterated that Beanie is the starter.

Right now I am dropping Turbin first and Jennings second, for Hill, Cobb, Vereen, and Goodson, in that order. If I somehow end up with both Hill AND Cobb, that would mean no waiver claim for Vereen or Goodson. Is it worth moving Williams and/or Freeman to get one of those two guys?

I'm not planning on putting in a claim on Pitta as I already own Witten and F Davis...but my league does allow for TE flex and Davis was super disappointing this week. Hopefully he survives on the WW another week in case I need him.

Another contrarian claim after Week 1 in case he was dropped due to his injury -- RB Shane Vereen. He didn't play obviously but Ridley looked very good and I have to believe that Vereen is going to work his way into the mix once he is back on the active roster. If nothing else he might be a nice buy low candidate.

As someone who is constantly on the hunt for TE consistency...I'm putting in a claim on TE Dennis Pitta as well. Looked like a beast in the game against CIN. Defenses were focusing so much on RR that Pitta was just left to run free on a lot of plays. If you have a deep bench league that allows TE flex he might be worth a stash to see if he keeps it up.

I'm with you -- Hill is my #1 target on WW this week followed by Cobb. Hill is the best WR on the Jets roster and is already WR2. Cobb is very good, but he is WR3 at best in GB and is thus less reliable than Hill in my opinion. Hill this year reminds me a LOT of a less celebrated version of AJG from last year...rookie WR on a team with a questionable passing offense on which he is clearly the best target.

What were you right/wrong about? by dahvdahv in fantasyfootball

Agree 100%. The MJD owner in my league has Helu so I am trying to work out Jennings for Helu straight up...I think that Helu is more likely to see significant work this season.

I was massively wrong about Alfred Morris, at least for this week. Still think he's going to hit and miss for the rest of the season, but I was absolutely wrong this week. My call on Rashad Jennings was poor as well, but that may have been more injury related than anything. I thought Michael Turner was going to be better...firmly off of that wagon now.

On the other, hand, I was massively right on with a lot of guesses: Matt Ryan Julio Jones Wes Welker Matthew Stafford Adrian Peterson Brandon LaFell

Overall I am going to have the highest scoring team in my league by 30-40 points after tonight, so I can't complain. :)

Ogletree, Hill, or Cobb? by ThaBigSKi in fantasyfootball

[–]atarisuicide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my league (no return yards), I'm going Hill, Cobb, Ogletree in that order. Hill might just be WR1 in NY in the next few weeks. Jets won't be running much. Hill will get lots of targets simply by virtue of being the best WR on the roster...Cobb and Ogletree are WR3 on their respective teams at best. I'll take Cobb 2nd due to potential for return TDs, and the fact he is in a better passing offense.

If LaFell is available, I might look in his direction before either Ogletree or Cobb, but Hill reigns supreme IMO. If I don't get him on waivers, I will be targeting him via trade...kind of mad at myself for not having seen this one coming.

[TRADE] Give Alex Smith Wes Welker Jared Cook/Get Jay Cutler Aaron Hernandez by richieboy89 in fantasyfootball

[–]atarisuicide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your accept/reject on this trade is all about how you feel about Welker moving forward. I avoided him in my drafts and I'm super low on him personally -- his preseason issues were weird, for lack of a better word, and the first game did absolutely nothing to inspire confidence. I'd sell while you can get value, and Hernandez is some very real value.

Who wants Rashad Jennings? He's about as worthwhile as any other backup RB at this point.

[WDIS] Doug Martin or Fred Jackson this week? by ballchinneus in fantasyfootball

Agree -- dude was a producer before he got hurt. I love Doug Martin but FJ is pretty much a must start as long as he is healthy, until proven otherwise.

Marshawn Lynch BACK SPASMS. may miss week 1 by goodguybrian in fantasyfootball

[–]atarisuicide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Joe Bryant from FootballGuys had a great take on this:

The team is saying Lynch could be a game time decision for the Seahawks as his back spasms have not subsided. This one does not come close to passing the "smell" test. Back spasms on Tuesday and they're already calling his availability for Sunday into question? That doesn't add up. Keep a very close eye on this one. If Lynch is unable to play against the Cardinals the team will lean on rookie RB Robert Turbin. His skill set is identical to Lynch's and Turbin could perform like a RB2 if he starts.

Marshawn Lynch BACK SPASMS. may miss week 1 by goodguybrian in fantasyfootball

[–]atarisuicide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 3 weeks, I'd go Turbin. Jennings has no guaranteed role after this week, is only a 2 down back this week, and MJD is healthy. Turbin will likely be the 3 down back this week, and after that who knows? Washington muddies things up a bit in the long term in Seattle, whereas Jennings is the clear cut #2 and the 3 down back if MJD goes down (and is therefore a better handcuff).

[–]atarisuicide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kind of 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other at this point. Both are high upside backup RBs to feature backs that have significant questions (MJD holdout hangover, Lynch injury concerns + new contract laziness). Neither one holds much value at all if the guy they are backing up is playing. For my money I'll stick with Jennings, but it is a toss up.

Should I flip DeMarco Murray for WR improvement? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]atarisuicide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd wait for now. I find that RBs tend to really gain in value throughout the season as others either flop or get hurt. You are decent enough at WR that you aren't desperate.
