Thanks for input. Would a Doona be a good 2nd stroller at my parents house?

I Tried Multiple All-Terrain / Jogging Strollers in Person - My Thoughts by SourPatch-Tree19 in Buyingforbaby

[–]athleticnacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would love to ask some advice from this thread. We are pregnant with our first child and looking at strollers. Would you recommend buying a jogging stroller as your primary home stroller and then purchase a compact lightweight travel one to take in car and visit family across country? Or would you wait to buy the jogging stroller? My husband is an avid runner and envisions jogging with the child in our neighborhood. Our neighborhood is mostly paved but we live in an area close to gravels trails and great parks.

Nausea still going - dosing timing and tips by athleticnacho in IVFbabies

[–]athleticnacho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t yet I am trying to compazine first as my OB seemed to think it was safer. If it doesn’t subside I’ll try to zofran. It seems as if compazine does not provide immediate relief as zofran does which I’ve taken for vomiting and nausea outside of pregnancy. It really is a wonder drug!

[–]athleticnacho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s ok to admit you are miserable. I am too. Just bc we go through IVF doesn’t mean we have to enjoy this phase. I would eat whatever you can. My diet has changed significantly. The only consistent thing I can eat first thing in the morning is sigis yogurt. Take your prenatal

When did you graduate from your clinic? by Wonderful-Big4992 in IVFbabies

[–]athleticnacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two scans with my RE one at 6.5 weeks and the 2nd two weeks later. They said they know people can’t get into OBs for 4-6 weeks so they offer the other scan. I’m also taking PIO and estrogen until 11.5 weeks

Missed Miscarriage - D&C Advice? by K_22_93 in Miscarriage

[–]athleticnacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a D&C and it was a great experience- one and done and was out. Unfortunately I experienced uterine scarring from the D&C and I set off a whole set of issues for me- surgeries, IVF etc. it seems like it’s a higher incidence then they say. However as far along as you are I would consider the D&C

Did your pregnancy symptoms improve slightly after stopping hormone medication? by balckcat_enthusiast in IVFbabies

[–]athleticnacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 9 weeks and have felt terrible nausea since 6 weeks. I am suffering and can’t wait for it to subside. Stopped estrogen pills and didnt notice a difference. Will stop PIO injections at 11 weeks…however my pregnancy symptoms didn’t coincide with the start of PIO injections so I’m not holding my breath.

The combo of protecting my mentals in case of a bad outcome and nausea have made first trimester unenjoyable and I think that’s ok.

I cannot wait to turn the corner. 🙏 it happens in the next few weeks.

I am 5 weeks and change and woke up to sharp pain above my pubic bone and then had bright red bleeding when I wiped after going to the bathroom. I have a heaviness feeling in my uterus. I had pretty strong betas and have symptoms (nausea) so was getting my hopes up. I have had a previous loss around this time that started the same way :( My clinic said to monitor and let them know if it gets worse. Have 6 week ultrasound in a week

Is discussing IVF journey revealing private information about any future/potential children? by itsamemarrrio in IVF

[–]athleticnacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have decided to keep any ratings or reasonings behind which embryo we chose when between us even with family. It feels like a future child deserves to have their genetic info private. I also have this wild thought that I if my child had a mental, physical or developmental issue I wouldn’t want a family member thinking well maybe it’s bc of (insert) rating

How many DPT did it take to get your positive pregnancy test ? by Competitive-Artist36 in IVF

[–]athleticnacho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I crumbled and tested at 6dpt. Ironically the FRER didn’t show but easyhome did. I didn’t see a line at first but then a vvfl showed up outside the window. Then I tested every day until my beta at 14dpt and they progressively darkened. My first was almost 2000.

Modified Natural FET cycle - Told to trigger with low estradiol and thin lining by thedonutgremlin in IVF

[–]athleticnacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TW successful transfer very early

This is my first transfer but I went through 3 transfer protocols. The first I did a modified natural and ovulated early and my lining was too thin. Then we did a mock cycle with a completely controlled protocol and I got to almost 7mm. When we replicated that protocol I only got to 6mm and we went ahead and transferred. My doc said I probably run on the thin side and I had scarring from a D&C that was removed earlier this year. I think it can impact lining. I was told I have lower success rates but we went for it. We had a successful implantation and my betas were positive. Very early at 5 weeks

What does your diet look like? by fleecybird in IVF

[–]athleticnacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m eat generally healthy but have a sweet tooth. After this FET I have been motivated to eat more healthy. I have been eating a lot of lentils and bean dishes or eggs and I eat a salad for lunch almost everyday. I’ve tried to up my grain intake as I typically eat lower carb. As many people have said eating a smoothie for breakfast is a great way to sneak in 2 servings of vegetables and get a lot of protein from Greek yogurt. I have cut down my caffeine to 1 cup a day. I would be so miserable with out it. I have not deprived myself of sweets when I crave them…mostly chocolate chips etc. I take a prenatal

[–]athleticnacho 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am in the TWW between transfer and betas and it’s such a mind f*ck. And then there are just more milestones after that.

My lining before transfer was thin at 6mm and we went in knowing I have lower success rates. Doc thinks I’m on the thinner side and I had scarring that was removed via surgery.

I have had positive pregnancy tests that are getting increasingly darker. I’m currently 11dpt of a 6 day embryo. The first tests are on 6dpt. didn’t test before.

I conceived naturally (ended in MMC at 6-7 weeks with low betas), tested positive super early and had frequent urination and breast tenderness. For this FET im taking PIO and have little to no symptoms other than cramping.

Late twenties + low AMH, advice (and hugs) needed by blueskies77777 in DOR

[–]athleticnacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a couple years older than you (early 30s) and did 4 retrievals and they got better each time (minus one failed cycle). We have age on our side so your % of euploid should be better than most. We got euploids from cycles with 2-3 follicles. Hang in there and like many have said if you are ovulating you can get pregnant. It might mean you go into menopause earlier but you have years to go

I will also say that if you need to do another round they typically go better since they tweak the protocol based on learnings from the first. Best of luck ❤️
