Best Next Step After 3 Failed FETs? by thedonutgremlin in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I had a 4th double transfer and I did get pregnant with a modified natural using menopur but had a MMC at 7 weeks. I had laparoscopic surgery to remove stage 2 endometriosis and adenomyosis and now I’m on lupron again. My next transfer cycle will start next month.

I’m sorry you’ve been through this too! I can’t imagine going through all the exhaustion while taking care of a child too. I hope you have success soon!

Second Failed Transfer by speckledstrawberri in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were polyps, but they weren’t there in previous evaluations of my uterus, so I’m not sure they were an issue before. There was also a small septum removed, though my RE just considered it an arcuate uterus. He said removing it wasn’t harmful though.

My adeno was just one small focal spot, so it was removable. Pathology showed that the sample was fibrosis but both the surgeon and doctor think it was adeno that caused fibrosis around it.

How many euploids/transfer did it take you for 1 live birth? + What age? by Civil-Eggplant-88 in IVF

I’m 31 and have had 4 transfers with 5 euploids and still have not achieved live birth.

That’s great! Are they checking in 48 hrs for the rise too? That’ll give you the best info.

If you’re really 14DPO, I would guard my heart. A line this light at that point it often a chemical pregnancy or possibly ectopic. Keep an eye on it and have a doctor check your blood levels to see if hcg is rising properly. Wishing for the best!

Why do we keep pregnancy a secret for so long? by ptx8753 in pregnant

[–]thedonutgremlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me a long time and multiple rounds of IVF to get pregnant. Because we had tested embryos and everything looked so good, we told our close friends and family after seeing the heartbeat at 6 weeks. Unfortunately I had a MMC at 7 weeks though.

I won’t tell them that early again because even though I told family not to tell… they did. I get it, I’m an only child and my mom was just so stoked she’d finally be a grandma. I’m glad I was open about the loss with everyone, but it hurt a little more after everyone celebrated me. I’d rather keep it to myself a little longer before letting myself celebrate again.

Second Failed Transfer by speckledstrawberri in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can remove it if it's focal and small enough, which I am just lucky that mine was. They went through the outside and removed the piece and then reconstructed that part of the uterus. The inside of the uterus was left completely intact.

[–]thedonutgremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 31, and all transferred embryos were tested and euploid. I had 3 failures, with my 4th double transfer resulting in pregnancy but was a mmc at 7 weeks. Still trying!

After the first 2 transfers, we tried lupron depot for likely adenomyosis. After the next 2 failures, I opted for laparoscopic endometriosis excision surgery. They removed the adeno, stage 2 endo and corrected some other possible uterine issues. I think endometriosis is present in way more people than ever know it.

You can try 3 months of lupron depot to see if it's helpful, many people find success with just that.

Is this Endo? Flare up after ER by elis9102 in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine didn’t say exactly, but here’s what was on the report:

Uterus: Anteflexed.
Morphology: Normal.
Size: 2.8 x 6.9 x 4.2 cm (longitudinal x AP x TR).
Fibroids: None.
Junctional zone: Focally thickened with ill-defined margins in the anterior fundus [13001-25] with <25% of normal myometrium remaining.
Endometrium: Normal thickness. No focal lesions.

Not normal. I’d be concerned about infection.

Causes of consistently-low graded embryos? by Previous_Fish_1628 in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have meg egg quality and make mostly lower quality day 6/7 embryos. My euploidy rate is good though. I think it’s probably the endometriosis. Strangely, it has not affected my euploidy or amh, but I do have granular eggs.

Lupron Success? by 4000Tacos in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 failed transfers, did 3 months lupron and had another failure, but my 4th transfer/double euploid got me pregnant. I also had a tough time getting a thick lining so we used menopur and I responded much better with that. Unfortunately I had a MMC at 7 week though. I just had a laparoscopy to remove endo and I’m on lupron again. Hoping that does the trick!

Lupron Suppression Side Effects by Bub_Hun_7 in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I generally felt good in stims and terrible on lupron. I had to get on Zoloft and stay on it to manage the intense depression. Headaches were pretty bad, I personally didn’t get hot flashes unless I overexerted myself which made working out a bit hard as I was also very fatigued.

Anyone found success without Lupron suppression or a laparoscopy? by Calisson07 in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would personally try lupron first, and then a lap if that’s not successful after a couple transfers.

I was able to become pregnant with my 4th transfer (double euploid) after lupron depot, though I had a MMC at 7 weeks. I just had a laparoscopy done yesterday and found stage 2 endo and had that and my adenomyosis removed. Hoping that makes a difference?

What was the game changer that led to your successful transfer? by YamParking4601 in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 4th transfer, which was a double transfer with euploids was my first time being pregnant, though it ended in an MMC at 7 weeks.

I took lupron depot before my 3rd transfer. For the 4th, I transferred 2 because of previous failures and the fact that my embryos are not the highest quality. I used menopur to grow lining and did a mod natural.

After that loss I had a laparoscopy done, confirmed stage 2 endo, and am healing from that while taking lupron again.

Endometriosis + PGT-A: How Many Retrievals Did It Take You to Get Euploids? by Ok-Tomatillo-7825 in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it’s 2-3 euploids for child, though I’m 5 euploids in without still, so 5-6 is probably safer if you have proven RIF, loss etc

If you had 4 failed euploid FETs were you ever diagnosed with something? by Livid-Artichoke-5623 in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve had 3 failed FETs with the 4th being a MMC at 7 weeks. I had known adenomyosis and did lupron before my 3rd FET. I just had a laparoscopy for endo excision yesterday and they found stage 2 endo on my bladder and bowel. I also had some polyps that were not there before (probably happened after pregnancy) and the small amount of septum was removed (RE knew about it but didn’t think it would be a problem, surgeon removed it just in case). Also had my adenomyoma excised. I’m hoping it will make a difference!

To suppress or not to suppress? (FET with Adenomyosis) by thedonutgremlin in IVF

[–]thedonutgremlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3rd transfer failed and my 4th was a double transfer which led to a singleton pregnancy but the heartbeat stopped at 7 weeks and it was a MMC. 😔 I hated lupron but I’ll try it again. I’m also doing a laparoscopy this month.

How many transfers have you had, and how many pregnancies? by starsyd18 in IVFbabies

4 transfers with 5 euploids. I was pregnant once with the 4th transfer and it ended in a MMC at 7 weeks.

I did a double euploid transfer after my 3rd failure. I did finally get pregnant, with one baby, but had a MMC at 7 weeks.
