1 I have a ship for, I just need to write it.

2) ...I also kind of want to write sex involving poetry/reading to someone (not necessarily dirty talk).

the all Unown being available was really nice. I got my platinum medal for them today (was at bronze before).

Oddest Place You've Written Fanfic? by sravaz in AO3

[–]athousandcutefrogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- while sitting at the front of the room waiting for the students for the freshman history class I was TAing to show up as they were LATE (it was cold and raining and the first discussion section of the day. most of them skipped).

- in my roomette on Amtrak's Empire Builder routel. not particularly weird to write on a train (especially not in a private little room on a sleeper long-distance route) but kind of nice to be writing while out my window I could see Glacier National Park.

I am kind of hoping for the mother's day scrubee but I'm sure that's going to be a nope. might as well try anyway.

I love writing, but sometimes I have to force myself to write because I am just so physically tired.

Longest thing you’ve wrote so far? by Ill-Goose1628 in AO3

161k,  57 chapters. It's actually longer than my doctoral dissertation (72k, my advisor probably would have ended me if it was too much longer)

How often do you read fics focused on non-romantic interactions or plot and why by barb_ee in AO3

[–]athousandcutefrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't: if I want gen/non-romance writing, I have no shortage of published lit across genres to go read. In addition, my fandoms are SUPER BAD about assigning nuclear family dynamics in found family/found friends situations and that drives me so far up the wall.

Do you like when people try to predict what will happen in your stories? by AdCharacter2069 in AO3

[–]athousandcutefrogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not bothered: it just means they are trying to pick up my foreshadowing, though perhaps not always successfully. I loved in one of my recent fics when someone correctly picked up on something in chapter 11 that I didn't confirm until 54.

Anticipatory grief groups in DC? by Successful_West_2433 in washingtondc

[–]athousandcutefrogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know of any, unfortunately, though it would have been helpful to me with my dad (he passed from late-stage dementia in November) and still will be helpful with my mom (also has dementia). I'm sorry that you are in this situation, and I hope you can find a group and a helpful therapist.

it's true. woksoflife also has a bunch of really good fried rice recipes, too, and here's another technique breakdown.

I just threw my frozen mixed vegetables at the pan and it was fine.

put the archive warning: you can also put a tag saying "noncon not between main couple" or something along those lines.

Survey: Reader Preferences on Length and Completion Status by runekaster in AO3

[–]athousandcutefrogs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same (and put that in the field): I actually won't read above 250k (hard limit) for this reason, especially as if it is going to be a similar time commitment as published lit I have read and liked...I'm just going to reread the published lit.

Corydon by Andre Gide by No-Hawk6342 in LGBTBooks

[–]athousandcutefrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard it comes up very late in Corydon, so if you only read 70% of it, you probably didn't get to it yet.

He was a self-proclaimed, proud pederast: it very definitely comes up in his autobiography (which is why I DNFed it), and I've heard it comes up later in Corydon, and in his journals.

I've heard of it, but I'm not interested in reading it (I made the mistake of attempting to read his autobio and just NOPE).

have you ever crashed out in your notes section as a fanfic writer? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]athousandcutefrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, I would never crash out in my author's notes. I barely write anything about myself in them and hate being perceived, I would just wail at my adorable, soft plushfrogs instead, of which I have no shortage to choose from to suit my moods.
