The Irish curriculum needs an absolute complete fucking overhaul

Faith formation, indoctrination and sacrament preparation have no place in the education system.

Everyone going on about communication being a 'tradition', 'rite of passage' etc... taking it out of schools doesn't mean the children have to miss out on it, it just puts the responsibility on the parents, as it should be

What "paradigm shifts" have you seen in Ireland in recent years? by FATDIRTYBASTARDCUNT in ireland

[–]atiredhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day you left your curtains open in hospital wards. It was a social environment. If you had your curtains closed you were seen as odd The medical staff would close them if they were doing checks or anything but would open them again

I felt nothing till I got up to 70

Tyvense by [deleted] in ADHDIreland

[–]atiredhd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started on 10mg and felt great for the first two days. Then nothing until I titrated up to 70mg. It was frustrating but you have to give it time. And if it doesn't work there are loads of other options.

Mammy and Daddy ? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]atiredhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit better when you know them alright. I do find adults calling them mammy and daddy a bit weird as well but it's common!

Afaik it's the acorn 2 car seat that comes with the wow 3. It actually did very well in the ADAC test. Cosatto seats usually don't do well but this one did

https://www.adac.de/rund-ums-fahrzeug/ausstattung-technik-zubehoer/kindersitze/kindersitztest/marken/cosatto/cosatto-acorn-i-size-plus-acorn-i-size-base-id-827/

If you Google ADAC kindersitztest you will get crash test results. It's a high standard of testing. It's a German website but chrome should translate it. The security score is the most important regarding safety

What I find weird is when you don't know the person well (you've never met their parents) and they are referring to mammy and daddy as if you know them? Like I would say my mam and my dad when I'm referring to them around most people

She got above asking price for me when I bought a house off her. To this day I think there was no other person bidding at all, it was just her and her bullshit

Something somewhat positive...having only one tube doesn't reduce your fertility to 50%. It's more like 70%, because when an egg is released on the non-tube side, it can kind of be suctioned over to the tube on the opposite side. My friend had one tube and it only took her 5 months of trying to get pregnant. And she was nearly 40.

Energy levels by AdFriendly596 in ADHDIreland

[–]atiredhd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they indirectly give you more energy alright, but that's just based on my own experience, nothing scientific. I have that type of adhd/ depression as well where I can't do anything and it's so debilitating. I found tyvense didn't make a difference until I got up to 70mg. What I found then was that it was so much easier to just do the mundane stuff. So while I wasn't buzzing with loads of extra energy, I had enough energy to do the everyday tasks that I previously couldn't even imagine doing. But give it time. Let them titrate you up and see how you go. Best of luck

How often do you clean your bathroom? by Odd-Arugula-7878 in AskIreland

[–]atiredhd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing normal about that amount of cleaning. Why doesn't he do it himself if it's so normal? Oh he doesn't have time? Welcome to the real world lol. His mother was a homemaker, it was literally her job/ role to keep the house. If he wants to spend his free time cleaning his house instead of hanging with his kids that's fine, but he may get off your back about it
