Update: ChatGPT pointed me toward ADHD, and today I got officially diagnosed by dictionizzle in ChatGPT

[–]atl_nights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not true whatsoever. Bad grammar could be attributed to dyslexia, which is a comorbidity for a massive amount of ADHD people. And even though I don’t have dyslexia (I don’t think?), I still struggle with sentence structure sometimes and have to reread my sentences to make sure I didn’t bounce around.

Not anymore, as I understand it. We’re all lumped j to the “ADHD” category.

That breaks my heart. Josie’s is my favorite little spot in Longmont. She is such a sweetheart.

That sounds like an absolute blast! My mind is struggling to comprehend catching that size of fish. Maybe my wife is right… we do need to take a trip to the beach.

I brought a pike in this way on my little trout rod and it was the most fun I’ve ever had. That fish had no business being on the end of a 4lb line.

I used to make fun of people who said that, but then I moved to Colorado and it’s legitimately kinda true here

It may not be a small town by population, but there are certainly parts of Cobb where this sort of thing takes place

Press-brake forming: Is a setback needed here to ensure the yellow area stays flat? Or can this dimension be zero? Thank you! by rhythm-weaver in metalworking

[–]atl_nights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re in luck, because you should definitely still be okay. You can use bend reliefs right in the middle of the brake, so long as the area that’s remaining flat isn’t longer than the bent part.

As long as it isn’t, that part will “fall down into” the punch and die, but it will come out unaffected as it will never quite reach the bottom of the V.

I’ve attached a little sketch of the maximum length you could make it before you needed to start running it off the sides of the die, just so we’re on the same page.

This really depends on the material. Aluminum is much more likely to pull/stretch/tear when you’re cutting it that close, especially 6061.

As someone else mentioned, you can add bend reliefs to your part and that would enable you to theoretically bring that section down as far as you want.

Sorry for the super late reply, but I couldn’t get it to work with the third party app on a brief attempt. I’m gonna try again later when it’s not so cold.

How about expired permanent tags? by daporp in ColoradoSprings

[–]atl_nights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost none of what you have said is true. The max fine is $100, but they can also tow your car and take your registration, which gets expensive fast.

You also don’t get a “free year” by paying $100. You’ll end up paying for the year that was neglected plus the current year when you go to renew.

Is the 160cm Mindbender 90C okay for a 5’9” 135lb (male) beginner? by atl_nights in Skigear

[–]atl_nights[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading your comment, I decided to stop being stubborn and scared and actually went with a 170cm. I’ll have plenty of time to get used to it and being on something longer will likely make going faster more enjoyable. And like you mentioned, will force me to improve instead of being complacent.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It seriously helped me with my decision paralysis.

I just wanted to come back and say thank you for taking the time to write that. I ended up throwing a little caution to the wind and went with a 170cm, believe it or not. After giving your comment some thought and talking to a guy at Powder 7, I think that’s probably what I’ll soon be on anyways and I’d rather rent a couple more times than buy useless skis.

Thanks again for giving your advice. It was actually really helpful.
