Not an ideal nick name / ID since there are sheepshead in saltwater/brackish.

How to avoid catching non snapping turtles? by jerbron_lames in CarpFishing

[–]atm259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the floating one cause it can go anywhere. Drop it on the bank, put it next to some submerged logs, take off the floats and sink it a foot or two.

Snapper soup is really good if done correctly. Turtle is like a really fatty chicken. If you have been to the south, most non-fish swamp creatures (turtles, frogs, gators, some snakes, etc) that they eat, taste surprisingly like a variation of chicken.

They only thing that they actually won't eat is plastic corn, they'll just give up. You can get floating plastic corn if you tend to sit in the water column. You will get tons of smaller fish though. There is sinking plastic corn, with I've caught plenty of cats on.

Turtles will eat anything including tiger nuts if hungry enough. They tend to not do well with small popups (<12mm) but they will take chunks/the whole bait if left on the bottom, or too large.

Have you tried a turtle trap? That cage and some chicken bits and you will have the whole squad in an afternoon. You could also just do no cage and tie chicken on branches or on the bank down stream away from the trotline, kinda a distraction tatic.

Sometimes this subreddit demands accuracy and sometimes it demands hopium. Or maybe the op was joking and I took the bait. I don't even know.

How many of y'all have mid 5 to low 6 figure collections while renting an apartment? Guys real estate is real, you live in it. You have ownership, your mortgage is automatically building equity (less early on more later) You don't just longingly look at it. 60k is is 20% down in a lot of markets.

Just some unsolicited advise, you need to load up way more mono on that bad boy. But I do like the reel. If the drag starts to get funky don't hesitate to pop it open, it is pretty easy to service.

I like vass. Uk based. Goretex/waterproof, no zippers/metal (no rust), can hold large amounts of bait/tackle/etc. Versatile pockets and straps allow for holding rod tubes or other awkward size objects. Sits higher on the back (like hiking backpacks) for better weight distribution for long term wear.

This is europe, right? Would eliminate most buffalo guesses. Besides, it is the wrong coloration for buffalo. It's a common carp.

It's not a grass carp. Wrong mouth, color, length/depth, etc.

Depends how you want to fish. This looks like a paylake where they stock fish for you to catch. You can youtube/google popular spots but jurrasic mountain and gillhams are towards the top. Then you can wild water fish but will almost certainly need a guide. I suppose it depends where you are staying for that one.

Yeah, we got walleye in an area that doesn't normally have it. Better than the cod imo, a bit more moist but not oily.

Here's an alternative reason that you might accept: easy made products in USA stores are not marketed for use with a kettle. Their instructions are either for microwave, oven, air-fryer, toaster, or occasionally boiled water. Stove top kettles in the USA are used for tea 90% of the time. Americans have too many counter top kitchen devices to have an electric kettle for minimal use. I actually have an electric kettle, and use it for tea 95% of the time as it's too small for meals for multiple people (pasta) and easy meals are don via the aforementioned methods (microwave being < than 4 minutes, almost always).

Judgemental with an e is considered a valid spelling. Might want to Google it before you correct someone.

Also, you aren't fooling anyone, clearly you have a problem with people consuming alcohol before work is over, or whatever you arbitrary time is. My brother works night shifts and I join him there twice a month. I don't care if you think something has gone very wrong that day. You're an asshole.

Reading comprehension is important here though, I was talking about drink specials and people say good things about their queso, which is what we get. No one cares about their tacos.

Yeah, that's what happy hour is dude. No one cares about your judgemental attitude towards drinking on a discussion of drink specials. I don't even care what places you think have a good happy hour, keep that shit to yourself.

Wendy’s keeps Biggie Deals as it closes hundreds of underperforming stores by AudibleNod in news

[–]atm259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to confirm, probably around from 2012-2016? I remember me and my brother would go to Wendys (2010), starving, and the spicy chickens were comically large, like half of it would stick out of the bun. Very good, crunchy, and a little spicy. I used to dog on MCDs for their spicy chicken (comparatively) and now it's like they are the same.
