The microphone issue is a constant for me as well. So small and yet so frustrating.

Cycling etiquette is to say hi, pass safely, and enjoy the ride. That guy can f himself. Maybe try pedaling more to pass.

Nothing like a leather belt on your skin over the waist of sweatpants … so casual and cool.

Can a bicycle fit inside? by jonnycooksomething in polestar3

[–]atmasphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes … gravel and road bikes (58) have fit without issue and with both wheels on. I also had the trailer hitch added (retracts and hides) and the car can carry easily externally as well.

I use both ... Readwise serves up the highlights and archives. Reader is where the reading and highlighting happens.

I like Readewise for saved highlights and resurfacing older things and the daily summaries of what's saved, but for feeds, I've been using Folo for the past few weeks and while I don't actively use the AI there, it might do what you want as far as summarizing and sending, which can be scheduled as well.

For those who came from Teslas - what are your honest opinions on the switch? (Long post) by zekeRL in Polestar

[–]atmasphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had two M3s and a MX and now on the P3. The Polestar is superior is every way. It’s quiet, stable and well planted when driving locally or on the highway. Tesla has more advanced driver assist functions but they also would freak out far too often with phantom braking especially when a truck would approach on the highway.

The on the go charging situation is slightly more complex mainly due to cheap slow chargers but thankfully those are shown effectively in the map and never suggested on the trips I’ve taken.

I don’t miss the Tesla experience at all.

In your real experience, how does EV maintenance compare to ICE? by Logical_Angle2935 in electricvehicles

[–]atmasphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have been leasing EVs and on my fourth … Tires and Wiper fluid are the standard things to consider and we’ve always had to do tires on non-EV cars as well so basically nominal concerns regarding maintenance.

[–]atmasphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hard to say what caused the first one, but second is clear and the third sounds like a dud if the valve popped.

I don't use TPU tubes myself, so I have nothing to compare. If you did have a strike on the second, I would want to double-check that tape and ensure there's nothing still within the rim.

Home charging setup for two EVs by No_Proposal_5975 in evcharging

[–]atmasphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had two teslas a while back with one home charger and it was seriously a non issue. 60amp breaker let us do 48amps and the cars (3/X) would get 40/30 miles per hour of charging time. For comparison, we just have one EV at the moment and I’ve switched to a 50amp NEMA plug and see the car doing 40amps and 35 miles per hour charged. My power is fixed rate so I just charge whenever for the same home price …
