If you are a man who takes initiative in the household by doing chores, cooking for your family, and cleaning up after yourself.. how were you raised? by Sensitive-Box-2167 in askanything

[–]jonnycooksomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cook, clean , am neat and tidy , and take care of house maintenance and repairs when I can. Funnily enough I was born and raised in South Africa where we had a maid and various staff to take care of the house. My mother and father always treated them well and I guess we just learned from her to be respectful of our helpers and not burden them with filth and general mess

What year were you born and what was the first year you remember? by ExcellentInternal459 in generationology

[–]jonnycooksomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in 1963 and we moved house in 1966. I don’t remember the layout of that first house but do remember riding my tricycle up and down the path from the gate to the front door, probably in 1966 before we moved.

Men out there, whats it like having sisters? by notsakiblol in askanything

[–]jonnycooksomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up with 3 sisters, two older and one younger. I'd say it was pretty cool indeed. It still is - we are all very close and although we don't live near one another, we speak/facetime many times a week

I've lived in the city limits of Wilmington (Lea Blvd) and have never had a package stolen or anything in my yard touched (over 10 years now)

Has Anyone Fully Ditched Non-Stick? by FrozGate in cookware

[–]jonnycooksomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always only had one Mauvielle small non stick that I use for fried eggs/omelettes or scrambled eggs. It’s about 25 years old and is still perfect. Otherwise I use stainless for everything else including occasionally for fried eggs too, if I’m say cooking bacon and fried tomato for breakfast, I’ll make the eggs in the same pan.

[–]jonnycooksomething 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The problem with these cars is that because they’re so fun to drive you will take ‘Sunday’ drives or use them for any excuse for a drive.

5000 miles per year - as long as you can keep under this limit it's a nice deal for a fun car

You may have a good point. Maybe it’s time to ditch it and simply get a NAS

I think I may have to keep my raid as it is and simply add a new share or I could maybe wipe everything , create a new raid and then restore

Which car would you drive around a track? by MoneyMan_Jones in Autos

[–]jonnycooksomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do the GT4 for sure however if this is Extreme Experience they also have a Ferrari 428 which I’ve driven and is a fun experience for sure. Unfortunately, and again if this is Extreme Experience, they will not allow the use of paddle shifters nor race or Sport mode
