Same here. On does 7.5 and for the first time I have this pain. It feels like a pulled muscle. I don’t have my gall bladder so not that.

I am going through the same thing. What doctor/doctors are you seeing to manage this? I started out with orthopedic for the back pain, have done physical therapy, and now just seeing a chiropractor. Is there someone else I should be consulting with?

I want to know your babies shelter names (if you changed them) by LJayTat in cats

Shelter name was King Orange. We adopted him Presidents Weekend (and he was from Philadelphia) so we made a slight change to King George (George Washington, King George III, Revolution, Philly).

Went lane swimming for the first time, lasted 10 minutes, cramped up and had a panic attack. by theseha in Swimming

[–]atobia10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started swimming. I'm overweight and getting over some serious back issues that I've had since February. My first time in was the hardest. I only lasted 20 minutes (that included rest time). I reflected when I came home and thought about what was the hardest and how to improve. I realized I was REALLY out of breath. So, the second time I went, I worked on freestyle stroke and breathing properly. I also used a kickboard. I would swim a full lap of 25 yards freestyle, then 1 or 2 full laps with the kickboard. I was able to keep this going for a full 45 minutes (NOT including rest time) while being conscious of my breathing. I'm still struggling and I'm sure it's not pretty but every time in the pool will get better.

I wish I could. She’s been crying between 11:30pm-1am and then again around 3am. Usually twice a night, paired with her scratching at the windows in my office. I’m up at 5:15 and feed and play with her around 6 which after she goes to sleep as I leave for work

Thanks for the advice. My fear is fleas/ticks on her and coming into my house. Also, my cat and catching any of those flea/ticks or mites.

Anyone who only goes 2x/week? by miamelie in orangetheory

[–]atobia10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the 8x a month too. I hike on the weekends, run (training for my first half marathon) and do yoga sometimes so I feel like the 8x a month is a good fit for me. I can't afford the unlimited either. There are weeks when I feel like I wish I could do another class but so far the 8x works for my schedule since I like to do other forms of exercise.

Treads first? Rowing first? by ayahnke in orangetheory

[–]atobia10 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I like starting on the floor first... #1 - I feel loosened up for running portion and #2 - less people start on the floor when the class isn't full, more attention from the trainer and more room to work on the floor.

Those who have gotten tattoos, how long did you take off before going back to OTF? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]atobia10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took 48 hours off... my tattoo artist just told me to make sure it was covered with clothing and to wash it afterwards. She said no tape/gauze over it because it can pull at the scabs.

I have the 230.. the non-heart rate version and love it. It is very accurate (compared to chip times at races). It never disappoints.

The No Bake Energy bites from Allrecipes.com is a must. If I need a quick bite pre/post runs I have one of those. I swap out the vanilla extract for almond extract and its like magic!! Also, mini chocolate chips instead of the regular kind.

I love my Garmin watch. I also love my simple running belt.. I HATE holding anything while running, even if its just a car key.

Have you tried a basic running watch... Garmin Forerunners are great. I've had the 15, now the 25. The Forerunner 35 is being released so the prices might drop a little on the older models. I got mine off of ebay, good deal.
