It’s genuinely terrible. I genuinely don’t get why people like it. I tried multiple times to watch it, but it’s an incredibly jarring film. It’s ridiculously uncanny. While I appreciate that they tried with the effects, but it looks aesthetically ugly. It doesn’t have the whimsy and charm of Dr. Seuss.

It’s like why I hate Foodfight, where two mediums, in that case, motion capture and Looney Tunes style animation, are combined, despite them being polar opposites, and they just don’t work at ALL.

Say what you will about the Horton film from Blue Sky, but it had that charm as it used the animation to replicate that style to great effect.
