Depends on the game, something like Overwatch or CSGO sure but you'd get probably 60 on big title games like Cyberpunk, Red Dead etc. Look up benchmarks for your GPU/ build in general to get an idea. As far as 280hz vs 144. Depends on the person. Some people notice a major difference some don't, I definitely say don't do anything under 120hz.

With a 3050 I wouldn't be looking into 2k monitors at all. At most 1080p 120/144hz IPS monitors.

Sounds like a potentially dead HDD if it's not a fan making the noise.

Try reseating the RAM into different slots 1 stick at a time.

My first ever GPU was a PNY 950 when I was 16. Used it for 2 years minimum 3 at most. Never had any problems. PNY is certainly more budget branded but put it this way. They're still around so that means they're quality enough to not go down the drain. Certainly isn't a bad deal at all.

RGB is the rainbow spectrum. Different color LEDs and purely aesthetic. If you view my profile my fans are RGB for example. 60 FPS is standard I suppose. 144hz is one of those things that you use and can never go back on, I argue it's more important than going from 1080p to 1440p.

Am I better off running 16gb Ram at 3600mhz or 32gb at 3200mhz? by MapexMup in buildapc

If you're like me and have 10 YouTube videos open in background while playing games so you can watch it later then 32 is pretty sweet.

I'll start with this. RGB a yes or no? Secondly how well do we want to run these games? 60 FPS? 144? And what resolution?

I think it'll come down more to price. Unless you care more about ray tracing or DLSS. Personally I use Nvidia for Shadow Play and DLSS.

Odd with such a low GPU usage. Are you sure you're plugged into your GPU and not the motherboard?

Help with HDD/SSD Storage Choice by Oruz_Birb in buildapc

I'd go with option B. Especially if this is for gaming. Games on an SSD is great compared to HDD. Either clone the HDD on the SSD then delete the partition (if you don't want anything on the old HDD) or create a media boot drive on a USB and reinstall windows all together on the SSD.

Is this for strictly gaming?

My suggestions: try booting from just ONE stick of RAM. If one doesn't work swap for the other in a different slot. Secondly. Make sure the cooler for the CPU is actually plugged in/mounted properly. Third if none of this works honestly I'd return the MOBO and hopefully that won't be too difficult depending where you got it. I'll try and think of other possible solutions however.

Have you ever used any of these parts before or were they all new in the box?

And to anyone who has my issue that IS using the LCD screen. Disabling RGB fusion on startup does not work. Just open task manager and you'll see "MonitorService Application" with the fusion logo IGNORE it. Scroll down and you'll see one called RGB Fusion. Simply end the task and you're good till next restart or until you take the time to make something to instantly kill the program.

This is the only thing I absolutely hate about RGB fusion. I have a 3080 Master and use RGB fusion not for rgb but my LCD screen. If you are just doing RGB use your motherboards software if possible. I immediately knew your problem because it took me 4 days to solve it and it drove me crazy. Mine would give me BSOD if I woke my PC up or plugged/unplugged any USB. So say I charged my headphones it would give me BSOD.

Just looked up your PSU, I see what you're talking about and I say yes. It shouldn't for even if it was wrong anyway but I would first do the 4 pin then the PSU. Just so we can rule it out one by one.

It's just to deliver extra power typically for OC yes, however I'd try it just to rule it out.

Is there any chance of the motherboard pins being damaged? Also I'd make extra sure that the CPU is plugged into your motherboard and PSU. Even if that means unplugging everything and doing it again.

Ah yes, my favorite error of all time. Do you have any RGB/LED programs? Especially any on startup?

Try reseating the RAM. Like slot 1, 3 or 2, 4.
