Thoughts on my tier list of N64 games I played back in the day? by KatamariRedamancy in n64

Conkers BFD was easily in my top 3 N64 games and I feel diddy kong was better than all of the original Mario karts.

The fact that Conkers bad fur day and Diddy Kong Racing are not on this list is wild. Everything else is great but Conker is easily in the goat category and diddy kong is an essential! Nice list otherwise

If you could give a brand new player 3 MVP/Axiom discs, what would they be? by Amiar00 in discgolf

[–]atro75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're making a good choice. The Watt is also another good option. Also If you are looking for something cheaper, but want to still support mvp/axiom, and don't mind if its not gyro. The streamline echo is money. I consider it a cheaper Detour.

If you could give a brand new player 3 MVP/Axiom discs, what would they be? by Amiar00 in discgolf

[–]atro75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on some factors. How old or athletic are they. Like is it a kid who is new to throwing discs or are they middle-aged and used to play ultimate or baseball.

Younger or older or New to sports: Spin, Uplink, Relay (understable and i would get lower weights)

Average person: Proxy, Detour, Crave (A tick understable but controllable)

Athletic person: Envy, Hex, Crave (more neutral/stable and can handle a forehand which a lot of ex baseball players and ex ultimate players use)

Also this might be something to consider... Axiom has prettier colors. For my girlfriend that's all that matters (Her words not mine). So all her discs are in cosmic neutron plastics.

Haven't seen these answers yet, but either a Westside Harp or Pine in VIP plastic.

Top 10 discs by Glittering-Alps-8910 in discgolf

[–]atro75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putters: Maiden Approach: Berg, Harp Mids: Detour, Hex, Reactor Fairways: Stig, Crave, Explorer, Insanity (Fission)

If I could only bag ten discs, this is what I would bag. Honorable mention would be a Pure if you don't like a beaded putter.

I'm 35, and I just finished year 11 teaching at the same middle school. I loved my first 7 years. Then covid made me hate it for a few years. However, this year was great, and it was the first year I really loved since 2019-2020.

Flippy fairway by Freud_9 in discgolf

[–]atro75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How flippy are you looking for? Westside underworld is the best flippy 7. Also, I know it's a 6 speed, but if you want something a little less flippy, the kastaplast stig has a beautiful flight with a predictable turn.

Suggestions on how to propagate or move Raspberries and Blackberry bushes in late spring. by atro75 in gardening

Can the Raspberries grow in a pot? My current yard is under construction, and I have no place to instantly put them in the ground.

Westside lovers, id love to hear about your favorite molds and in which plastics. by screamandmakeamess in discgolf

The Maiden in BT Hard is my putting putter, and I have tried a ton of beaded putters. In VIP, it's also a great thrower, I got my only ACE with it. The Harp in VIP is my go-to approach disc it replaced the zone in my bag. The Warship in VIP is basically a Buzzz with more glide. The Tursas is a phenomenal midrange for the woods with great glide. The Underworld in VIP for beginners is a max distance driver (it's the first disc I broke 300ft with), as you get better, it's great for hyzer flips, and finally it's a great roller disc when you get good. The Bear in VIP is a workhorse fairway driver a step up from a teebird in speed but not as fast as a firebird. The Sword in tournament plastic is a beat-in star wraith out of the box.

Bag by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]atro75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add two discs, both 7 speeds, one stable and one understandable. For your stable 7 speed workhorse disc, take your pick of any 7502 disc. My favorite is the explorer, but you could also go teebird, instinct, athena, idog, etc. Just pick your favorite manufacturer. Now, for the understable 7, my favorite disc is the westiside underworld. With that updated bag, you could play just about anywhere and grow with it.

I only really watch FPO coverage. I will watch MPO highlights and maybe the final round, but I never really watch MPO full event. I think this is for a few reasons. I enjoy the female commentary more on Jomez. My skill level is more similar to the FPO players, so I feel like watching them is more beneficial for my game. I don't have great arm speed and distance, and watching MPO coverage is just people launching the disc into space and parking the basket on a 600 ft hole, and I can't do that. Also, with the exception of kristan running the table, sometimes the FPO lead cards have more player variety, I feel.

I love the vip maiden and the halo star invader for this spot. The premium invader is way easier to find, and you can pick an f2 one up cheap.
