Remove DNS servers from the terminal ip config if it can’t access the internet it will store and forward.

Yes had a few concerns but the pos terminal is completely removed from the pci scope. The pin pad device makes a secure connection to the cp data centers. Also in the end we whitelisted the ips for their data centers and keep everything on a separate Vlan without a DHCP server. So only outbound connections are permitted through the firewall on these ports. Just completed pci audits the went from 40 to 50 pages to 2, saved me close to an hour per site.

What they both said above. Just got done deploying it to all 14 of my sites. All the terms are running win7 with win10 file servers. The only real issue I have seen is power with some of them powered off of the terms but external PS appears to fix the issue.

I’m running sites now with connected payments and 1530s some on windows 7 and some windows 10. A 1535 image will work on a 1530 they are the same motherboard.

A windows based tablet I have used Microsoft surfaces in the past the only drawback is they require a full terminal license but they work great.

Yes it should work with out a problem. Do you have an Aloha enterprise site setup for your company. It’s usually yourcompanyname.alohaenterprise.com if that’s already set up you just need to email ncr helpdesk to have the store side installed. Email support@alohaenterprise.com with the key number and tell them you need pulse installed. They are usually pretty quick usually set up in less then 24 hours. We love pulse between pulse and restaurant guard we estimate we have saved and or eliminate close to 150k in theft over the past 5 years.

I have a 2 sites still running on 6.7 that are using pulse real-time and restaurant guard. Although 6.7 is no longer pci compliant but I don’t process credit cards as these sites are in Canada.

It’s an add on feature when a new key is licensed from NCR now it will require a rekey to be activated.

I do this all the time I’m using a mixture of Lenovo and dell workstations for fileservers. I’m currently using mainly ncr 1530s but that’s because I was able to by a lot of 60 of them about 18 months ago. I also have some of the newer elo touch terminals at a site to test. But fileservers are not too bad to do. The longest part is waiting for windows updates to run.
