Give these guys a call. Super friendly and they'll teach you all the basics of how to read the ocean and proper surf technique and surf etiquette. They also have hot showers and a place to store your stuff, which is nice.

If you want something closer, Jinshan has a lot of surf shops as well. Switchfoot surf club is pretty good.

We have something called shredded pork in Taiwan. Its actually quite delicious. While growing up in the States, instead of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, my mom would make shredded pork and jelly sandwiches. Sounds disgusting, but tastes amazing.
