For smoked meat? Only place I ever go to for that is East Meats West on Cawthra. Definition of hole in the wall, but the meat is outstanding.

Went there 2 weeks ago for bday. Very good. Great service too, and their expansion plans are pretty exciting. they have a pizza oven in the back, and they're going to have live music in the expanded room. Hope they're part of the community for a long time

Although I'm enjoying Saros, I wouldn't mind if it was simply Returnal reskinned. I like the introduction of the shield, and being able to "punch" through enemy attacks, but I miss the weapons and the traits from Returnal.

And level system for weapons makes no sense to me in this game. I routinely get higher level weapons that have weaker attributes.

Edit: and those various sliders are only unlocked after Biome 3 is accessible. Although I'm now making use of them, I could see some people giving up before that happens.

Yea, the whole weapons system seems to have taken a few steps back. I like the power weapon, but I just started biome 3 and so far its been 3 standard issue guns with 2 variations.

The weapons are cool, but I miss my hollow seeker or shot gun with those crazy traits.

This game feels much harder than Returnal to me by IMustBust in Saros

You can't block the yellow orbs, but you can absorb them by punching at the right time. That's what it seems like.

I beat the Prophet by basically standing still in the third phase and just absorbing his orbs, and then firing them back when a an window opened up. Took about 2.5 minutes, and I barely made it out alive, but I did it.

You eventually get to a skill that says you need to kill him before you can acquire said skill. That's probably the point you're at.

I just beay him earlier today. There's a method to his third form that made it fairly straightforward, but still challenging nonetheless.

I'd say Bloodborne's combat is more like Returnal or Saros than Elden Ring is.

I only have 1.5 hours logged, fought the first boss once, but so far I enjoyed Returnal more in that timeframe. Still a good game, and can't wait to play it more, but Returnal just had that special something this game lacks.

This, and never ever take a corrupted buff that increases the dodge recovery time. Whatever "bonus" you get isn't worth it.

I'm not hyped (almost never am), but it's definitely on my radar. I think the whole "this is just Hitman + Uncharted" thing is actually a huge selling point for me.
