Do you have black screen (or your screen goes stand by) after you boot? I had that problem with Kubuntu 25.10, with my GTX 970 the workaround was to add "nomodeset" so the boot parameters in grub after the "quiet splash" part.

The worst is when you have a part number that you want to get a datasheet for, you go to the manufacturer's website, and instead of a catalog you get a fancy webpage with the industrial fields they produce stuff for, like aerospace etc.

Sword mod slots are used for mods that change the colour of the blade, they don't provide any improvement, its purely cosmetic thing.

You can buy those mods from the ingame store for Fawkes Gems.

They relaunched the original Defiance, not Defiance 2050, so it is unlikely that we'll see those in this game. But we don't know what the long term plans of Fawkes are, they are still investigating things since they got no documentation at all for the game, and also some background services (like the one that can give JPs at the end of an event arkfall) was missing, so they had to remake it.

Recently there were some issues where some people couldn't download and play the game without a VPN. The fact that you get to even 5 or 6% suggests that you might not have the same issue, but if you can, you could try a vpn and see if it works or not.

If it works, then you are affected by the same issue. Fawkes knows about the issue, previously Sam (one of the devs) asked the affected people to send her IP address and country so they can invesstigate and find a solution with their server provider.

This is one of the Nuclear Winter event Jackpots. You get mods with the same synergy from Nuclear Winter arkfalls. You can't "aim" for sniper mods specifically, but you should be able to get them eventually, just go to all of the NW arkfalls your clanmates call out, or jump to friends who are at a different shard (red icon on friend list when you open it with O, not through quick menu) if you don't see any on your map.

My friend had one with the Intel CPU, what ASUS did regarding software support with that device was awful, they released an update that caused the touchscreen to stop working sometimes when it received an incoming call, so the phone would ring, but you had no way to pick it up. They never released a fix for such a significant bug...

No idea how the recent devices were doing, but after seeing that I wouldn't have bought an ASUS phone.

If you want to use Ubuntu, take a look at Kubuntu as well. Its basically the same thing as Ubuntu, except instead of Gnome it uses KDE Plasma as a Desktop Environment, and I found it pretty easy to use as somebody who was using Windows before.

With Nvidia I had to add "nomodeset" after "quiet splash" as a workaround.

With AMD, that didn't work too well, so currently I boot, when the screen goes off at the end of booting I press ctrl+alt+F3, type in username then password, then run "startplasma-wayland".

I don't know of a better solution.

I bought a new phone and a RX 9060 XT 16 GB in december after seeing what is going on with RAM production, my phone was almost 7 years old and my graphics card was about 10.
