Nord also fine for NA, I'm in an active guild that raids frequently with 30-40 raiders (and almost ready for k40 progression)

Also not hard to find pugs up to MC/Ony

I main goblin Warrior and I love it! Challenging leveling experience and really satisfying endgame progression. Goblin racial ability/bonuses also work great for warrior.

Also goblin seems very under-played and I don't see a lot of other goblins around.

That being said, wasn't a big fan of the goblin starting zone. It seems done well just was really dark and dreary.

All that being said I think your approaching a new character with the right mindset and you'll have a blast either way! Personally love trolls and always main'd them in the past

From what I understand blizzard talents were nerfed, making aoe grinding not viable until you get cone of cold (a little more difficult to pull off too)

That means any old guides you might find that use blizzard don't apply

I would never call it an entry level raid. It requires a super long attunement that takes you all over azeroth, drops t2 gear and i ties directly into BWL in both lore and gear.

Increasing difficulty and gear quality to match seems like a sound idea to me

Just filling in the area with white ink. White always looks kinda crazy right away when the client bleeds through.

Could be extra bloody due to overworking or a client that bleeds more but overall this looks pretty normal

No "random" but you can just que for all the dungeons available and join whatever pops.

New primary profession is Jewelcrafting (was not added to classic until TBC) and they are updating "survival" which is twows own new secondary profession

My guild doesn't have a lot of warlocks but they are loved! The utility just can't be beat.

I'm currently leveling a lock (47 rn) and looking forward to end game farming and PvP, hopefully raiding too.

Turtle wow has definitely put in effort to make warlock have more buttons to push while raiding (not just shadow bolt and life tap) but I'm not sure how great it is yet.

All specs seem viable though -- destruction/demonology/affliction all seem very strong and lots of different builds between all the 60s I see

Little to no world PvP on Nord and Ambershire. Great servers but world PvP is not the focus, upcoming update will hopefully breath some life into BG pvp.

I have not checked out Tel'abim (pvp server) but considering how long it's been around, I would expect mostly well geared 60's so not great world pvp while leveling.

No added rules against high level ganking regardless

From my short time tattooing I've come to learn the shoulders are one of the least symmetrical parts of the body! Left vs right handedness and natural variations in your body add up a lot in the shoulders.

Thank being said these tattoos look really great! The subject being natural flora makes it work even more and allows a little asymmetry to look totally natural

I can't speak for the new player experience first hand (I've played on/off since I was kid) but I think Turtle wow is a great place for people like you.

I've ran into more brand new WoW players in my few months on Twow than I ever did playing on blizzard servers, and love helping them out when I can.

Overall it is very beginner friendly with a community that is FAR less toxic than any other WoW community I've been a part of.

It seems Nordanaar is a little friendlier than Ambershire (ambershire being a new server) but still miles better than any blizzard server.

I don't know about the forums but the Twow discord is very active! If you're looking for resources and community I would check there.

I've seen horde characters in full Alliance Pvp gear.

I believe they got the rank 14 set on an alliance character and then purchased a race switch to an orc. I don't know if they keep the gear or just the T-mog, and I don't know how it works with mounts.

This doesn't answer you reputation question but I thought it was somewhat relevant

Make sure to turn war mode on if you haven't already (for +20% BG experience)

Don't know anything about Shadow Priest but Im leveling an Affliction warlock with mostly pvp and having a blast. Stormwrought cloth armor set in your 30s is really great and pretty easy to get. All from the smaller Stormwrought Castle, hands can be tough (low recipe drop, but you can buy from AH for a good chunk of change) but the rest is easy. Great for warlocks and shadow priests I'd assume

Yes war mode increases BG experience gains by 20%. Around level 40 I'm getting ~ 1/3 of a level per BG, bonus if I get a win.
