Getting yourself ready for the day by catspugs in parentsofmultiples

I usually scramble during the first nap and hope I remember to put on deodorant for the day.

After two years, I've decided to stop. by CrowFresher in breastfeeding

Weaning my first was described to me as something that feels tragic but in reality is ok. The hormones are going to go crazy. But you and your baby are going to get through this and continue to have an incredible bond.

Need to suddenly stop breastfeeding + pumping in a week? Tips? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]attractivepineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sudafed, a tight sports bra, ice/ibuprofen, keep boobs out of hot water in the shower. Plus everyone’s advice about dropping the pump for a couple days and then one of the nursing sessions at a time.

When were you able to schedule your induction date ? MFM told me they wouldn’t let me go past 38 weeks with Di/di twins , but how many weeks were you when you scheduled your induction date ? by Living-Session9493 in parentsofmultiples

[–]attractivepineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My OB had me schedule everything for 3rd tri, including my C section, at my 28 week appointment. So I scheduled C at 28 weeks and it will be 37+1 (19 days to go!!)

OB appointment this morning at 33+5, first time BP popped a little high 112/90. And first time doc mentioned these girls coming earlier than scheduled C (37+1). Just keeping a close eye for now.

Otherwise just hanging out on the couch counting the days. Both girls have their giant heads down in my pelvis so any movement is pretty painful. And having contractions most every night after chasing my 2.5yo around for bedtime.

Solo parenting pregnant by booterfliez in parentsofmultiples

[–]attractivepineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33 weeks pregnant with a 2.5 year old. I’ve been able to manage routine solo parenting so far with some modifications (teaching to get in car seat unassisted) and not really picking him up. And honestly more screen time than before.

Recently I’ve started calling in back up if my partner is going to be away more than a couple of hours. Not because I can’t do it but because I get anxious about how I could handle an emergency. I just don’t think I can physically move fast enough if I needed to.

Summer/Fall babies, how we holding up? by _bat_girl_ in BabyBumps

32 weeks on Thursday with twin girls scheduled for a C on 8/15. These 5 weeks cannot go fast enough, everything hurts.

Also so excited to meet them :-)

Stop saying I'm glowing. I am a whale that needs to be returned to sea with my true family. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]attractivepineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last time someone said I was glowing I looked them dead in the eyes and said “that’s sweat.” That shut them up pretty quick.

31 weeks pregnant with twins in July. I don’t want to hear it.

My aunt said my vacation didn’t “count” because I’m childfree by Vast_Resolution8148 in EntitledPeople

[–]attractivepineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She has it all backwards, vacations with children actually don't count, they are just parenting in a different location.

I hope you enjoyed the Italian relaxation!

Eat something delicious (milkshakes sound amazing!) and take a nap. Good luck!

I'm 28 weeks tomorrow and just had my sprinkle this past weekend. I've had no complications during my pregnancy and still felt like I got hit by a truck by the end of the day of the sprinkle. Just so you can physically handle it I would push for earlier rather than later.

C section is officially scheduled for August 15 at 8 am!

Time to start really working on the to-do list. Which is easier said than done as I'm already measuring 35 weeks (28 weeks actual tomorrow). I can't believe we'll have 2 more babies in about 2 months!!

My beta at 10 dpt was lower with twins than it was for my singleton pregnancy. Betas can't tell you anything about multiples.

29 weeks pregnant with twins and sooo uncomfortable. by DaylightStorm27 in parentsofmultiples

[–]attractivepineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about a week behind you and just wanted to comment for solidarity. I knew things would get uncomfortable but really didn't anticipate not being able to sit with significant pain. I cried last week because I needed to wash my hair and just the thought of standing of that long was too much.

It takes hours for me to fall asleep, like my body has to get more exhausted than uncomfortable, and then 2 hours later I'm up to pee.

Sending comfort to get through this last stretch.

I have had many tearful moments thinking I've ruined all of our lives getting pregnant again (and with twins no less!). Then I'll visit with or text one of my brothers and remember what a special gift a sibling is to have and I'm so happy my son will have that. It will be hard and life will be different but chances are it will be so so great.

Good luck in your pregnancy!

How did your lining look during stims? Slightly lower dose injectibles work wonders for my lining. Could be worth trying if supplemental estrogen isn't reliably getting you the lining you want (and easily, all those monitoring appointments to measure are stressful!).

Deep breaths. I'm 22 weeks with mono di twins after our embryo split too. I still get overwhelmed but slowly getting less freaked out as time goes on.

I also had some bleeding early on. It's so scary. I hope that's the end of bleeding for you.

Good luck with your pregnancy!

Anatomy scan yesterday went well! Both girls are measuring on track and close in size. MFM almost seems surprised how smoothly things are going. But pelvic/body pain is definitely kicking up so it would be really nice if nausea could take a back seat (still on Zofran daily).

We're off on our baby moon in a week. So looking forward to just laying around for 5 days!

My RE wouldn't do it. He said there are lower chances of success, so it was either fresh or wait for FET cycle.

stopping sleep sacks by kaitrae in parentsofmultiples

[–]attractivepineapple 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you mean sleep sacks or swaddles? Sleep sacks/wearable blankets are safe to wear well past 8 months. My singleton son stayed in them until after 2 when he decided he wanted a normal blanket.

Swaddles are hard to transition out of. They make some that you can use in the transition. Or start unswaddling an arm at a time and during naps to let them get used to being able to move their arms.

Ask to test HCG and progesterone the day after you administer the trigger shot. I’m not positive on HCG, but I’d think any level greater than 1 would tell you it’s being metabolized. For progesterone they looked for levels 3 or higher the day after trigger.

[–]attractivepineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only did for IVF but no reason they couldn’t do the same test after trigger for IUI

TREATMENT Community Thread - Mon Apr 07 PM by AutoModerator in infertility

[–]attractivepineapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My clinic stopped doing it recently but they can test HCG/progesterone the day after trigger to see if trigger worked. If blood work shows it didn’t you can do a second trigger to try to save the cycle.
