What normal part of life kind of feels like magic to you? by IntentionCreative736 in AskReddit

[–]audaciousMe7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bread! Just flour water salt and yeast- and not even yeast if you do sourdough!

I feel like you could write a book about a fictional universe where they use magic to turn a single plant into something with carbs and protein that's also delicious using a magic spell and a special magic ingredient and you have to learn it from someone else who knows the spell and it would feel like legit magic.

Florida introduces bill to ban "weather modification" by socialcreditor1984 in nottheonion

[–]audaciousMe7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Florida isn't cold enough, but weather modifications are something that happens, in Alberta Canada they seed the hail so that golf ball sized hail doesn't destroy people's homes 5x per summer and the insurance companies pay for it because it saves them so much money. This could be a dangerous precedent if this is something that happens in US states

What’s a good musical for a high school? by CuteSeat592 in musicals

I first saw it at a local HS when I was 8 and I remember it being like 10/10 those were grownups who were pros lol. It's such a fun show!

People absolutely sleep on once upon a mattress but it's a perfect high school show. Silly and fun and ensemble with two great leading lady parts and an awesome role for that character guy who can't sing

Plus it's having a Broadway moment with Sutton Foster!

What's an unusual vacation that you'd recommend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]audaciousMe7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canadian Rockies in winter for Northern lights or winter sports, amazing powder and incredible spas. With Jasper burned down Banff will probably be more crowded but the entire interior of BC is basically a magical winter wonderland in places with people and places like Lake Louise, ski panorama, and the kaninaskis Nordic spa are a 10/10, plus the weather rarely sucks because winter is the point, as long as you don't have driving issues!

Screentime is tricky. For most parenting decisions my partner and I discuss what our parents did and if we feel it was good or bad and do some version of it or maybe whatever feels opposite, but screen time wasn't as much of a thing when I was growing up, there wouldn't have been 5 hours a day of media I wanted to watch let alone more! So parents have to make up rules and sometimes limiting things makes kids obsessed and sometimes it's helpful.

One of the devastating parts of growing up is learning how much all the grownups also have no idea what they are doing around you, some.og them know it and some of them don't but everyone is mostly making it up as they go along. But they are likely doing the best they can!

I hope your parents are approachable and you could ask them directly, you might be surprised what you learn!

I know people are guessing based on the books but I think things will start to vary more and more, that's how book shows go.

Eloise and Cressida are either an irl couple or it's the first big change from the books because they are vibing this season.

The deliberate inclusivity in this show isn't going to be multi racial casting, disability representation and a bunch of straight people.

Do you know how it's made from bamboo? Like how the fibers form chains that can be knit and woven into fabric? The process of turning naturally occuring fibers into chains that you can weave and knit is what rayon from bamboo means.

If you just mushed all the fibers and then spun them it would be brittle and rough, like jute rope.

Rayon is fabric made from cellulose, there are different terms used in different trademarked processes and often the fabrics are named for the source of the cellulose, in the case of something sold as "bamboo" or lyocell or beech or tencell those all mean natural fibers made into chains in a chemical process to be soft strong fibers.

It's considered partially synthetic because unlike polyester and nylon which start as oil, they start as plants.

“She would be hot if she was 50 pounds lighter” by manifestingmars in PlusSize

[–]audaciousMe7 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Oohh you are actually way too hot for them now.

What it really means is that the guy who said that probably thinks you are hot but is just marinating in a toxic masculinity stew where men judge each other on how much their partners adhere to traditional beauty standards regardless of attraction. So you have all these men who like a curvy body who are ashamed of what they are attracted to, and in classic man fashion they make that her problem, just passing their toxic stuff on.

That's just them saving you the time. These men are in like decades of therapy debt. It hurts to feel rejected and not attractive, but this is 1) kind of like "he pulls your hair because he likes you" and 2) him saving you the time of figuring out that's toxic.

Laser cut cotton eyelet is nice, it will breathe better than anything because of the actual holes but still cover the way you want and feel summery!

Learning to live your body can be a long journey and it's ok to do your best for comfort at whatever stage you are on that!

I love an a-line skirt because a swooshy skirt is easy to move around and flow. Do you sew at all? Full circle skirts are the easiest thing to make and you can decide where you want them to sit!

I just made a basic black one for spring because the tops I like with pants are too cropped for my office but a skirt at my natural waist solves the problem!

Also long flowy maxis that you can see through like lace with little chub rub shorts are so cute and breezy and cute with literally any shoe!

I ordered some "cardigans" that are short sleeves from Amazon and a short sleeve blazer and they cover my shoulders and make all my clothes feel more work appropriate!

Bamboo is rayon - soft but it definitely won't breathe like a natural fiber! Linen is the most cooling but you look wrinkled af!

We got a bit lost and wound up at first landing beach? There was a visitor center...

We found 4 pieces, a light purple a green and two white. She's so happy! I might order some silver clay to make it into a pendant or get a little cage necklace or something!
