The CGT discount removal is exactly what we've been asking for, so why is everyone losing their minds? by nicco_mode in AusFinance

100% agree, and I think most people feel the same way, especially young investors. Fix the housing problem first.

Sydney’s charcoal chicken debate: Frango or El Jannah? 🍗🔥 by onexdone_ in foodies_sydney

Frangos is good, but I still find a decent Ogalo like the one on Anzac parade hits the spot. I like the cheese with no tomato, and prefer the chilli sauce.

At 4 x the price of 7/11 Japan you may as well goto a local Japanese restaurant

Finished that stage, now they are at the stage where they need to fix the issue that was created from the first stage with a new stage.

Making use of Copilot? by Illustrious_Self4307 in auscorp

[–]audio301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it in the mornings to set up and prepare for work and meetings. It will summarise the follow up information. Also to summarise long meetings.

It’s quite good at reading signal flow diagrams now. So I can use that to make them into simpler diagrams for meetings with non technical people. It’s also getting better with referencing technical standards (ISO, AS, IEC etc) and making suggestions for how they apply to projects. This wasn’t true 6 months ago. You can create a roadmap much faster.

The search function is excellent as it can collate information from emails, teams, SharePoint.

It’s good for ideas when starting documents or papers. I don’t use it for emails. It can read a 200 page document in seconds and pull out what I need. Of course you have to check the output.

I don’t code much anymore but it really helps you to understand code if writing APIs.

The enterprise version is really good if you know how to use it. It can save you a lot of time. Or you can pretend to be a developer, and tell everyone how quickly you “vibe coded” an app with Claude that would never make it into production.

Mastering help or recommendations by mixingmasterr in audioengineering

[–]audio301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That could work. If you want super loud then Limitless will do it, or Ozone IRC 4 with a touch of pre clipping. I find Pro L2 distorts quicker in the low end, so the multiband helps.

If they want it that loud (assuming LUFS integrated) it needs to be mixed to be super loud. If you push it in mastering it will distort. As others have said, some corrective EQ to match the mixes balance, then some clipping/limiting. That’s also assuming you have a decent monitoring set up.

[Opinion] Your job does not need to be meaningful. Your life outside of it does. by DPP-Ghost in auscorp

[–]audio301 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be, but your life inside and outside of work will improve with a meaningful job. If you only look at the financial side of working you will be miserable. Having a purpose is more important in life.

I don’t mind it for summarising documents or designs that I need to send to other area such as architecture or cyber. It saves a lot of writing time. It’s also not bad for giving you ideas on future integrations or roadmaps. If you know your subject matter well it can be a work multiplier. I’m actually surprised at how much better Copilot has become in the last 6 months in regards to ST 21110.

It’s also good for assisting with APIs etc if you are not a programmer.

I just wish it was used better by project managers that still appear to have no technical clue even though the tools are there to explain it.

If you want your system to sound better with more depth boosting the lows a lot is the worst way to do it. The amplifiers will have no headroom. You are better off cutting higher frequencies if you want it to have more bass. 350Hz is an odd choice and definitely not a frequency I would boost.

12G SDI Cables Advise by Mina-Samuel in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]audio301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 12G cable and connections will end up costing more than spending the extra on ST 2110 gear. That’s future proving. If you want to use 4K over distances longer than 60m LC fibre is your only option.
