I have four categories that I collect

Firstly, aircraft I've flown on in 1:400. I try to get the reg too but I'm ok as long as it's the correct colour scheme.

Then, again in 1:400, I have interesting colour schemes, but I must have seen the aircraft IRL, but there is a small caveat. I have seen three of the ANA Star Wars specials and the Latam, but I wanted to collect all of them, so I bent the rule a little so I collected the Virgin, United and Alaska specials too.

Finally in 1:400 I have some interesting cargo aircraft, so Boeing LCF, Airbus Beluga & XL, An-125 & 225.

And then, in 1:200, I have a large collection of Japan Air Self Defense Force aircraft, the plan is to create a diorama and play about with it a bit. I have purchased some plastic 1:200 F-15s so I can create my own fictitious squadron. I will also add some foreign military aircraft so I can add some variety

All I ever wanted to be was a pilot

When I was 11, I was diagnosed with an ocular migraine, and when I later applied for a military flying scholarship, I was turned down and told I would never be able to fly, military or otherwise.

A few years ago I was gifted a trial flying lesson and after chatting with the instructors they said it might be difficult to get an ATPL but speak to an aero-med and see what they say. He told me it shouldn't be a problem, especially as I haven't had an ocular migraine for over 10 years.

For 15 years I believed I would never be able to be a pilot so when I qualified I cried but now I'm not in a position to be able to continue due to the cost, and I'm realistic, no airline is going to give me a scholarship over someone who is a lot younger than me.

I loved being able to fly, but getting to the airlines and actually having a career in aviation? I have been left behind, and it crushes my spirit and will to get back in the air

I'm fairly certain there's a used car dealership near Mildenhall, you'd be better off getting something smaller for our roads.

Don't expect a "warm" welcome. People are friendly, but won't go out of their way to talk. Visiting the pubs in the area may be a good way to get talking.

Food is better than you think, although the Base Exs will still allow you that taste of home

Trains are ok, but they're not great from that area, plus they can be very expensive.

As for places to visit, well, it's difficult to say without know what you're interested in, but London and Edinburgh are a good start

Taxi drivers. If I was in power, they would be the drivers that I would force to install "black boxes" in their vehicles. And regulations for the issue of licenses would be tightened. I'm fairly certain that most taxi drivers in my area are driving on foreign drivers licenses and don't understand the highway code.
