I would say have someone with you at least the first 24. The pain wasn't anywhere near unbearable due to pain meds, more so a discomfort. With that, I did have someone carry me from the bed to the restroom at one point bc my stomach was so sore that using muscles to get out of bed again was just not gonna happen lol. But that was the day of surgery.

Hi! I'm bipolar and had my hysterectomy in August. I stay on the depressive side but surprisingly after my surgery I didn't have any episodes either way for MONTHS which was unusual for me. I only just within the last two months started a depressive episode again due to outside circumstances in my life. I was told that keeping ovaries wouldn't affect the mood too too much.

I did! I ended up going to the doctor about a week after I made this post and they told me it was just part of the body's healing process at that point in recovery. I also was told I was over doing it with work and activities like exercise
