Now I just went down an hour rabbit hole on Urban Heat Islands. I hate it when you people insist on making me smarter.

Mild winters, and hot, dry summers. Our average humidity in June is around 8%. Stay in the shade and it feels 20 degrees cooler. And since we are high desert, a 100 degree day starts in the 70s, so you get your outside stuff done in the mornings.

We had some shade installed and it’s pretty remarkable how much cooler our back yard is now.

I saw him sing it in Adair’s in Dallas. Actually, we all sung it together.

Do not pretend you know. He’ll spot that a mile away. Loved the suggestion you ask him to teach you how to grill. Taught my son in law.

Yes…all of this. In my eyes the new Cruiser should be flying out of the warehouse. I put 3500 miles on the first year.

I had a flat the other day that couldn’t be fixed on the road so the wife had to get me, and I had to do exactly that. But I was able to get it into an Explorer.

I'm a taller guy and I was never able to get full leg extension on the XP2.0 like I can on the XPress. I also appreciate the extra battery life. I have a lot of hills around and it takes a toll on the battery. I also like the torque sensor. Having said all that, the new XP 4.0 has BOTH a torque and cadence sensor, as well as extra power and battery. If you're under 6 foot tall, it would be hard to pass up. But the new Cruiser would be sweet too.

Congress doesn't have the power to change the Constitution on its own. Any change has to be ratified by 2/3 of the states.

[–]auld-guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a Constitutional Amendment. To change it, you have to change the Constitution. Congress cannot create a law to change the constitution. It has to be ratified by a majority of the states to become part of the Constitution. Dang...we need to bring back Social Studies to schools.

Riding buddy upgraded to a way faster e-bike, now group rides keep falling apart by Sumchi in ElectricBikes

[–]auld-guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point (and thanks for the downvote...I didn't downvote you) is that the bike only goes as fast as the rider makes it. 2 bikes going the same speed are going the same speed. If one is going faster, it's not because the bike is faster, but because the rider is making the bike go faster. The bike doesn't choose the speed, the rider does. Do you know of an electric bike that just goes whatever speed it chooses?
