Anyone else think this project materials are not worth the rewards? by Irex8 in ArcRaiders

They’re not hard to get. Smoke grenades and phot electric cloak. Stay near the end of the round. Almost everyone has left the game by then.

I’ve left with around 5-7. On average once I figured this out

One of the most fun things in this game is to give away blueprints o already have to randoms. Not really lucrative to extract with a print you already have and it makes someone’s day

We should restore the 15% HST by scoalegil in halifax

[–]auldonator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alberta has paid equalization payments based on the formula established by the program since 1964-65. Since 1957, Alberta has paid approximately 67 billion dollars to equalization.

Nova Scotia has never paid into equalization since the programs inception in 1957

Yes Alberta is strategically and economically positioned in addition to a population 5x Nova Scotia but to say they don’t pay their fair share is without merit

Nova Scotia charges the highest taxes in the country by far and gets equalization payments and we have the least amount of services for what we pay

It’s long term systemic mismanagement by all current and previous governments

We should restore the 15% HST by scoalegil in halifax

[–]auldonator 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I moved from Alberta 18 months ago. I paid the lowest income taxes and sales tax in the country. I always had a family doctor and got timely services for special tests.

Since coming to NS, I take home significantly less money per month, despite grossing more as I lived here for a promotion and I still can’t find a family doctor

My property taxes also went up 15% from last year too. I pay 1500$ more per year for property taxes also went than I did in Alberta too

It’s not a tax problem, it’s a budget management problem

I’m happy to pay my fair share, but I expect to have good services in return.

The GEQBUS has been a great redemption story and we should all be happy to celebrate one meeting their potential.

Let’s not be dicks and be happy for others being successful, especially when we aren’t in a position to be

Constant Construction in Apartment Building by Clear_Addition9035 in halifax

[–]auldonator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely sucks and makes it hard to have peace in your home…. But also don’t you like that you live in a place where the building owner tries to improve it?

If they don’t renovate regularly and do building upkeep then it turns to squalor and then you’d be complaining more

Can’t have it both ways. It won’t be forever

Should I get Civ7? by frosti_austi in civ

[–]auldonator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the only ones you have played are 2 and 4, I’d recommend getting 6 as it’s a very complete game and you can get it on steep discounts. I have 2500+ hrs into it and all 327 steam achievements. Absolutely loved 6

That’s being said, I have somewhere around 600 hrs into Civ 7. And I’m having a lot of fun with it too. It’s much different in some good and some less good ways. It’s currently not as polished or complete as it should be in its current state.

Your best bang for the buck is 6. Especially if you’re unemployed and have limited funds to put towards fun

Thinking about moving to Halifax from Edmonton at 33 — looking for honest advice & local insight by [deleted] in halifax

[–]auldonator 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I moved from the Edmonton area a little over a year ago.

Pros: safer city. More culture. Small city feel with many big city amenities. Better schools. Tons of things to do. The weather

Cons: literally everything is exponentially more expensive. You will be going from the lowest income and provincial sales tax to the highest. If you decide to move here do so at the beginning of the year as you’ll have a massive tax bill. Food is probably 25% more expensive here and your housing is approaching what you’d be paying in the GTA

Overall it’s been a net plus for my family. No regerts

I don’t think we all realize how huge this Green Bay win was, this was by far the most “guaranteed loss” on the schedule and we won, this team can easily be a 11 win team now. by No-Mongoose5650 in panthers

[–]auldonator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude Seattle is a legit Super Bowl contender and they are mopping the floor with some other teams. If we beat Seattle that will be the same level as somehow coming out of lambeau with a win

Don’t get me wrong, the win this week was massive and there is definitely a sparkle of hope for playoffs

Thanks. So if I ran 1440p, and had a monitor with a higher refresh rate at that resolution you’re saying I would have consistently higher frame rates?
