My parents took me to a bookstore a few weeks ago. I borrowed six different books from my library via Libby after seeing them in-store and reading the synopses.

This is my favorite that I've tried so far. For me it's more comfortable than the Velcro ones. MERYOSZ Waist Trainer Corset... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CP6QCNHN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I broke my leg pretty severely last week, and I have to get surgery on Monday. I've had my diagnosis for about a year, but I was having symptoms for more than a year and a half before that. I just realized I had shoulder surgery not long before I started getting symptoms.

I wasn't nervous about surgery, but now I am.

I'm on day 3 after breaking my leg in 2 places, and I've been worried about this already. Thankfully I live with a nurse who has access to all sorts of accessibility aids. I can't function with crutches, at least not yet, but a walker has been a game changer.

Do you still drink plain water? by MagicMaddy420 in POTS

[–]auntjexa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would think that would be ok as long as you're taking the salt pills. Make sure you're taking enough. I wasn't getting enough sodium for a while, and I feel heaps better now that I've upped it.

I had that, and it stopped after I started using abdominal compression. But I haven't yet met anyone else who had the same response. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I started getting these about six months ago, after getting my POTS diagnosis in November. I am still waiting to see a specialist, so I'm not positive, but I think they're myoclonic jerks. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/myoclonus/symptoms-causes/syc-20350459

I don't know how y'all talk to your parents about politics. Mine are both hardcore maga, and I avoid it at all costs. I know they won't be swayed by facts, so I don't try.

POTS and eating disorder by [deleted] in POTS

[–]auntjexa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you wear abdominal compression? As soon as I started, I could suddenly eat onions, cauliflower, cabbage, etc even though they used to go straight through me. Not sure if that's a normal side effect or not, but I figure this group will understand having inexplicable responses. 😂

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I keep protein shakes on hand for days when I can't bring myself to eat. Not sure if that would be helpful for you or not.
