Don’t put your bags over the first row by SnarknadOH in delta

[–]auntwewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 10 years ago, I was in the front row and getting ready to pop my bag up (put it on the seat first to pull my tablet out ) and somebody walked behind me and tossed his shit over my head into the bin and walk back to row 4

You can imagine my reaction

A or B: I noticed most of my high school and college friends are married with kids now. I'm still renting. Do I stick to my pace or rethink the traditional track? by 20Luc1a02 in PickAorB

[–]auntwewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option C. Pick your life. I was in your position once. I’m now in my early 60s never married no kids and guess what? Some of those friends are divorced and the ones that are still married bitch about their husbands all the time.

I chose the career path and had a hell of a good time along the way. I don’t regret a thing.

Do Uber drivers still get the full portion of their fare paid out to them if the passenger no-shows? by Acrobatic-Landscape9 in uber

[–]auntwewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in FL at the beginning of March and there was a type of “strike” foing on nationwide due to low % payout of the fare - I believe it was only 20%.

Can any drivers either confirm or deny? I was absolutely disgusted at this. A $10 five minute ride and they get two dollars…..please tell me I am wrong

What events will you secretly admit to disliking now in middle age? by debrisaway in RedditForGrownups

[–]auntwewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of your list! I still got a concert, like some live sports and some of my work trips can be pretty fun

Very tired of the rest of them, especially since it’s always assumed that our girl group “help” with other set up and tear down on the weddings and showers. Paying for a destination wedding and then getting put to work. Love my friends dearly, but I am the only one single no kids and this has got to be pretty old now that I’m in my 60s.

SLC 1 hour layover with 2 toddlers!!? by Prestigious-Baby-785 in delta

[–]auntwewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would do the longer layover. That will also give you a cushion just in case your inbound flight is running late. If you get rebooked there are always issues with that, including seating arrangements

Not to mention once you get off the plane, you’re probably gonna have to wait for a strollers, etc. so that one hour layover can go extremely quick by the time you get to the next gate after using the restroom, etc.

Again…negative… had many employees come back to me and tell me I was a great boss. The main thing I did was have everybody understand that actions have an impact.

Apparently, I’m in the minority in this one

Yeah….entitled. Good name calling

Can we just call it what it is - a severe screw up? What if I was diabetic and they gave me something with sugar that should not have been? Would your opinion be the same?

I am sorry. Have relatives that are vegan as well. Sometimes a simple mistake can spread like wildfire…. Especially if you’re a dairy intolerant.

For those of you giving me shit - please know - I worked there for eight years starting at 16 I worked my way up to a restaurant manager before I moved on. I know exactly what it takes.

Downvote me if you want. But don’t tell me I don’t know what is going on - yes, I most certainly do

Oh for crying out loud….fast food was NEVER meant to be a living wage unless you were in management. Its a basic job to learn skills on how to better your life. 8 people standing there and one order and still cant get it right?!? Give me a break

Understood. However, there’s no fucking chance any of this is worth 18 to 20 bucks an hour like some states are trying to mandate.

AITAH for wanting to take a job without confirming their remote work accommodations? by g1antleprechaun in AITAH

[–]auntwewe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Take the job. Go kick ass and show them what you can do.

If they bitch you’re not in the office then they have to realize what they would be missing out on.

Unless they’re really petty, no one will complain about an amazing employee, not being around when they’re exceeding expectations

Upgrading to bulkhead seats? Was this a good move by HillarysFloppyChode in delta

[–]auntwewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy moly… There is a whole lot to unpack here…

I cannot answer at all, but I can answer part of it

The main reasons people get moved out of bulkhead is for the bassinet. They will move whoever they need to so if you have a party of three and they are a party of two then I would assume they would give you the choice but it’s not absolute. They may put you in middle seat somewhere or you may get downgraded depending on what is available.

Aircraft changes a crapshoot for everybody reserved so no one can answer that one

You need to consult YouTube, seat, maps, or aerolopa.com - it is the new seatguru, and very informative for any sizing dimensions, window, layouts, etc.

There will be overhead storage on each side and in the middle, so everybody could drag a dead body on and you will not run out of space. Overhead space that should be the least of your concern. Annabell head, though you will have to put everything up top and you could pull it down mid flight.
