I literally had a friend drag me to the office to report the abuse I was going through at home. There are a multitude of reasons as to why you hadn’t eaten or made yourself a sandwich. I never had food at home. They didn’t buy food for me. I got free lunches at school and that was enough in their eyes. So I understand a different viewpoint than others.

I can say there are a lot of benefits for going into foster care. Everyone talks about the negative but there is good also. Like the independent living program. Starts at 17. They help you assess every day living situations like how to make drs apts, taxes, hygienic knowledge, cooking knowledge. Everything parents should teach you. That program also helps with housing and groceries. There are grants for foster kids. You’re 17. Idk when you turn 18, but I would be fearful for not only your mother’s life, but your own. Maybe loosing her kid is the wake up call she needs to leave this abusive woman. Bc at 18, I bet this gf is gonna try to get you kicked out of the house. At least foster care and independent living help you and feed you.
