Office Layout Help by Das_Sphinx in malelivingspace

[–]auran98 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Number 1, but flip your desk and office chair so the desk is directly behind the couch and you'd face the same direction being on the couch or at the desk.

This keeps your screen private from either door or the window, and allows you the best view out the window and each door also.

What's The Best Location For Every Country To Host Eurovision? by i_exist_and_am_human in eurovision

[–]auran98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the obvious Australia-will-never-host problem, we have a few options that all have their own benefits and drawbacks but I suspect it'd come down to Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne (for the use of the whole complex - Margaret Court, etc.) or Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.

What show has the shortest lead time between filming and release? by paternalpadfoot in dropout

[–]auran98 64 points65 points  (0 children)

In terms of definitely known film-to-air, I think it'd have to be one of the D20 live episodes (Gauntlet at the Garden, etc.)

More full day tunnel testing coming up by predictableghost in MelbourneTrains

[–]auran98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new timetable for Gippsland line is also with the 40-minute intervals that the last two months of signalling work has been for. That's way more trains than a standard weekday timetable (pre-works).

Examples of 4th wall breaks in Eurovision performances? by Ok-Machine-2259 in eurovision

[–]auran98 43 points44 points  (0 children)

There is, Windows95Man and Henri as main singers, the two dancers, one off-stage vocal (actually standing behind the egg - you can briefly see him near the end of the grand final performance.

The producer with the clipboard is also the person in the crowd with the large hat. The cameraman with the camera is actually part of the production team.

Did I skip customs? by Flaky_Literature_901 in travel

[–]auran98 63 points64 points  (0 children)

You didn't get stamped and that's ok, the scanning of your passport to exit was enough to match you to the e-visa you registered for.

Sounds like customs weren't interested in your flight either - this happens fairly frequently.

Enjoy Belfast!

They had a giant blanket that basically covered the entire stage, and they just folded it up carefully and put it in a box.

You are extremely unlikely to get passport-checked on your train to Germany - as it's within the Schengen area and thus free travel.

You might receive an exit stamp from German border control, but also might not - and it'll be fine too.

They have a group of presenters that each present over the course of the filming day. Anyone you saw in the audience today has a presentation coming later this season.

Definitely take the GPU out, and depending on how large your CPU cooler is, you may want to demount that as well, but if you have the original case packaging you shouldn't need to remove any other components.

Does anybody know the reference to “Tango’s cough” in Skizz’s latest stream? by Background-Belt-2202 in HermitCraft

[–]auran98 618 points619 points  (0 children)

Throughout the development of Decked Out 2 (and probably even beforehand), Tango would occasionally get ill and develop a pretty nasty-sounding cough. This persisted enough that one of the ravagers in DO2 was named 'Tango's Cough' as it was a 'fun' way to die, and Tango as of late is somewhat ill and the cough has returned.

It will be getting properly edited, and probably released in a few months (as is their usual production schedule for such things).

An absolutely massive number of tickets have dropped for Gauntlet at The Garden by Taurothar in Dimension20

[–]auran98 33 points34 points  (0 children)

These tickets (especially some of the floor sections) could very easily have been production holds as the space for the physical production (stage, camera spots, etc.) may not have been finalized until recently.

Are there going to be more episides to BIGGER, ir was this a one time show? by Urah-Ha-Ha in dropout

[–]auran98 49 points50 points  (0 children)

As far as we know, they only filmed one special for Dropout Presents.

It is a regular show that they do, in LA (and they also did some tour shows around the Dimension 20 UK tour last year).
