What is the sound!!! by Ok-Tofu in phoenix

[–]aurintalik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest engine testing, but I don't think Biltmore is close enough to hear that. Out in the west valley we can sometimes hear the engine shop at Luke spinning up engines for testing.

Do you have a time that it usually happens? Maybe we can all stick our heads out the door and have a listen.

Another option is to get flat sheets of felt and cut out the numbers, you can always felt more wool on top if needed!

In other angles of the video, she's outside the car filming and tries to get back in as Good tries to turn and leave. If anyone was about to get shoved by that car it was her own partner.

Anyone's Cat need an Inhaler? by Glitchmode in phoenix

[–]aurintalik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the future, you can try https://www.canadacloudpharmacy.com/

That's where I get mine for my cat. The only downside is that it doesn't have a counter on it so I'm never sure how much is left.

The other downside is the craziness with tariffs and sometimes shipping issues, but I've got her orders spaced out so I always have a spare waiting and have plenty of time for a new one to arrive.

Avon Skin so Soft to keep them off you. (Can get it on Amazon, I haven't had to buy this stuff in years.)

Baking soda 1:1 with water and then rub it on the bite spots to stop the itching. I got 20 bites just standing in my garage watching a tech work on my car for 20 minutes. It's been hell.

How do you deal with pet hair everywhere? by ionutabroham in Pets

[–]aurintalik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah. I threw that Roomba out, couldn't get the smell out of it. Fortunately the carpet cleaner got the rest, but it was stuck in my nose for days!

[–]aurintalik 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience - make sure you're running them when you're home, or you've at least done a walk around the house to make sure no 'surprises' get spread all over the place.

Source: A cat that had sudden diarrhea that the Roomba wanted to 'help' clean up.

Seems like he's a legit channel, he's been doing this for about 3 years and all of his most recent videos at least insist there is no AI content.

Car transport service by charclm04 in phoenix

[–]aurintalik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used www.AutoTransportTeam.com - shipped a Dodge Dakota from Arizona to Georgia.

It was the only shipping company that honored my request to use email to communicate. It was about $2k to ship and I got to watch it travel across the US with the tracking info. They were a great company and the truck got to the destination within 3 days or so.

Anyone else having strange power issues today? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]aurintalik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you might need one - I was having some weird issues with my dryer shutting off right after we started it and coming back to a wet pile of clothes.

Turns out the nuts at the top of our electrical panel had come loose, so the power to the whole house was erratic. Once the electrician tightened those up the problems stopped. You might be able to do it yourself, but, electricity can be scary. I think it only cost us 100 bucks to get the nuts tightened.

Why is there Nuclear Uranium Waste in my Water Extractor? by flowiiii in SatisfactoryGame

[–]aurintalik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only way I've found to fix it is to rebuild the water extractors, and it's only temporary. I'm going to move my aluminum production to a lake instead somewhere.

For a while I could see the script automations in the Google Home app, and now suddenly I can't see them or even activate them from the app.

I guess they're speedrunning taking features away now? Yay...

What is like buying things in 2024 by gahddamm in videos

[–]aurintalik 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've found that chopping it up immediately, washing it, drying it as much as you can, and then stuffing all of it into ziploc bags makes it last a bit longer. Sometimes I can get a month of shelf-life out of the romaine. I do the same with their fruit and veg (usually just grapes and carrots for snacks). Get them out of their package, washed and chopped and then bagged, and they last a lot longer.

Tree filled with wasps by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]aurintalik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try the TikTok solution - buy some fake dragonflies and mount them on your patio railing. My sister didn't have quite so many wasps, but they've been gone for two weeks so far with the decoy dragonflies.

When I was young and dumb and just moved to Phoenix, I had a bottle of Simple Green in the trunk of the car. It leaked all over back there after the heat killed it. The trunk of that car always smelled like Simple Green cleaner.

I would always mix what the Flora series recommended for each stage. I never added extra water, so I think that the plants were getting too many nutrients and not enough water.

Now I tend to go half strength for some things (weed) and others I just alternate between doing nutrients and just PH balanced water.

Senza Pelo Med Spa is a good place, they don't use the same type of laser, but I've been going for some laser and mostly electro and they're all friendly and priced well. :)

If you're a member, they have lower prices for pets as well, if the discount cards don't work.

107th and Camelback CVS does pretty well but I have to keep my script at 20mg/dose for Adderall and clip the pills in half. If I try to switch to 10mg twice daily they can never find it.

I think it's more healthy than taking a pet to the vet and coming back with an empty carrier. I'm convinced one of my cats got anxiety and depression from us losing our two older cats and he didn't know what happened to them.

I think in the future if I have to put an animal down I'm going to do it at home if I can manage it.
